Less likely now that it got an enhancement

The old Cadian kit got an underwhelming upgrade frame and it still got fully replaced by the current Cadian range in about a year.

Actually that's a good point, though granted an upgrade for modular infantry is less work than an upgrade for a large walker.

The more I think about it the more torn I am. On the one hand, I would prefer a proper plastic version of the old Castraferrum Dreadnought FW put out for the Knights ages back, and whilst the plastic Greater Daemons are spectacular miniatures, I almost feel like they're better served as the basis for Apocalypse-level Daemons (again, see Forge World) and that "regular" Greater Daemons should be the size of the last-gen metals on 60mm bases, which a Castraferrum is more appropriately sized to. On the other hand, scale/scope creep is what it is and if we are going to have Greater Daemons of that size, it makes sense that Titan's finest should have means of going toe to toe with them, and whilst the Dreadknight fits the bill, it's not exactly the best model GeeDubs ever put out- a bigger Dreadnought would be cooler IMO. I definitely like the suggestion of a Contemptor variant, though something of similar size to the Dreadknight (but no bigger) would be fine- something akin to the Telamon Dreadnought, but maybe a touch smaller.

honestly if any 40k space marines were going to get contemptor style dreads, id be all for it being grey knights, totally agree the custodes dreads would be a good basis for the grey knights.

Don't stop with Contemptors, the Leviathan waits for the GK treatment too.

And I'm with the Fraternity who are not buying any more until the range refresh happens.... at the very least the well needed TDA scale crept.

Deimos feels like it would be the only place in the Imperium that could still make them in limited quantities.

Am I missing something? The new weapons for the Dreadknight seem terrible. I guess you could make a case for the mace as a character hunter, but the flail is abysmal. Did they forget these were attached to a giant robot?

For what it's worth for those with access to a printer (either their own or a friend's) I've seen a few height-boosted leg STLs people have made to scale up the current kits, and they actually work really well.

I'd agree there, HH scale definitely looks best IMO. Regardless, just thought it was worth showing for those who can get things printed and wanted better scaled Grey Knights but still wanted the modularity (and, uh, existence) of the current kits. I think it works better on the Terminators, but the power armoured legs don't look bad either.

I got a couple of Tortuga bodies to pimp my GK and am quite happy how they turned out. Scales very well to primaris marines.

Look, I'm not saying Grey Knights need to hop on the Saturnine train, however Pete does make a very compelling case to do so.

Wow, that’s fantastic; might just steal that idea. The only thing I’m missing is more of the golden GK script that is so present on their armor.
