The Ravenguard and Salamander teaser images that we've seen make me wonder if we're going to get a redux of those codex-compliant battleforces each with a new unit. Valrak has mentioned new Vanguard vets, those would look great in Ravenguard livery. Salamanders could be Assault Terminators. Mutli-part outriders could be for the White Scars. So less of a new character and more a new unit that is thematic.

I had a dream where I dreamed about new kits for the Land Raider...then  I just check this thread and see there are rumours about it...

Be still my beating heart...may we yet see true majesty and might grace the fields of war once more with perfection that is the Rhino chassis and Land Raider? I once hoped for firstborns to be given parity with primaris and to an extent we have seen that...maybe...

New terminators and an actual terminator ancient? feels like a simpson meme in the making

"mhmm...Valrak...you said Terminator ancient was releasing but this is clearly a Lieutenant"

"Ohhoho no, patented valrak information, I said Terminator Ancient. Old Imperial fist recipe"

"but he is clearly labeled a Lieutenant"

"That's what we call them on Terra"

"What part of Terra?"

"Albany"

Did not expect a Steamed Hams reference in this thread!

If I remember correctly, the current LR kit has an awesome set of hinges on the assault ramp, such that lowering the ramp also causes the top to of the hatch to open.

I think it's silly to hope for a new Land Raider kit, because as much potential exists for it to be an objectively worse kit- it may have unhinged doors like the new (objectively worse) drop pod kit, or no bottom (like the objectively worse) Rogal Dorn.

People should be careful what they wish for.

Getting those doors to work right is such a pita I just glue them together.  The Spartan kit works great.  All the LRs I’ve done I’ve spent more time with gap filler and sanding than assembling by far.

Slipping slightly off topic but that's such a wild take on the Dorn to me I feel compelled to comment. I know when it came out the lack of a bottom plate was memed but I didn't think anyone legitimately cared about something so inconsequential.

It's way more to scale of a main battle tank than the squished, tiny-turret Russ (seriously, even if it had an auto-loader, which it doesn't canonically, that turret is teeny tiny). We're seriously supposed to believe a Russ carries six people when it has sponsons?

The only problem with the Dorn is the weird prow stubbers/meltas which are optional anyhow. If we're saying opinions as objective facts then I guess Ill say the Dorn is an objectively superior kit.

Speaking as somebody who just built one, so much potential exists for it to be an objectively better kit. Modern GW kits are capable of so much more.

i was browsing facebook as i woke from a nap and apparently vanguard veterans got leaked in a boxset photography? but facebook being facebook, the algorithm ensured I COULD NEVER FIND THE REPOST AGAIN TO POST IT HERE.

A quick Google gave me absolutely nothing, so maybe fake?

Just showed up in the space wolves group. they accidentally posted it in their crusade post

Those look like the Jump Assault Intercessors with some bits from other sets, just a home-made kit-bashed squad.

Can't spell tonight.

The Vanguard Vets are a kitbash. They were either in a recent White Dwarf or a Warcom workbench article. I just can't remember which!

Found it, it was from a Warhammer Community Crusade article on the 25th of March.

on closer examination it looks like a kitbash with BT sword brethren weapons?

Nick Baynton posted these on his Instagram feed. They are indeed kitbashed Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs.
