Inquisitor_Lensoven
I love the new griffin models and want to kitbash them, what could we reasonably use this kit for? https://www.warhammer.com/en-US/shop/stormcast-eternals-iridan-the-witness-2024?queryID=6b2949993a9fa1b3ba03cf9f3bbde3c4 Gamiel 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385614-aos-griffins-what-to-make-of-them/ Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
Riding giant creatures doesn't really ring any bells for 40k. My instinct would be Chaos Daemons, maybe a Daemon Prince conversion or Daemon Engine, Heldrake? Maulerfiend? In any case there would need to be significant conversion work to really hit the 40k aesthetic. sitnam 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385614-aos-griffins-what-to-make-of-them/#findComment-6103057 Share on other sites

Clearly it’s a stormraven, a bunch of dudes hanging on to the back for dear life, and dreadnought carried in its talons lol Firedrake Cordova, Gamiel, Grotsmasha and 1 other 2 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385614-aos-griffins-what-to-make-of-them/#findComment-6103062 Share on other sites
MadGamerAK
I am in 100% agreement with @Grotsmasha. I mean, birds aren't exactly Grim dark, so if any, Chaos Deamons. sitnam 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385614-aos-griffins-what-to-make-of-them/#findComment-6103063 Share on other sites

Last I checked we have acrobatic circus clowns in the setting. lokkorex 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385614-aos-griffins-what-to-make-of-them/#findComment-6103078 Share on other sites

apologist
A nice base for a Squiggoth there – any Snakebite Runtherd/Mek worth his teef would be able to come up with something for him to do :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385614-aos-griffins-what-to-make-of-them/#findComment-6103291 Share on other sites

lokkorex
Howling Griffons Space Marines using the rules for Space Wolves. Put a captain on top of it with lightning claws, hey presto! A Count-As Canis Wolfborn! Jukkiz
only things riding living creatures in 40k are orks, space wolves and exodites, for what i know. You could always make some custom SM army chapter with griffing as icon and beast as emperors avatar?
