Not like his Chaos model, but more reminiscent of his Badab War era look.

 

(Though I guess the hooks are awfully small, suggesting a Chaos Knight sized weapon.)

Definitely chaosy. Undoubtedly a flamer. Seeing all the marine chaos books are out(or at least revealed)now and doubt they would hide anything from the reveals they did, would bet on knights.

 

Tin foil hat, hope is the first step ideas: new chaos marine flamer unit, or a remodel of havocs. Flamers would be good for a teeth of khorne unit that keeps up with the existing range’s run up and hit them in the face method of warfare.

Not an exact match, but I'd say this is pretty compelling for the hooks being a Chaos Knight.

I was thinking Chaos hellhound alright, but the inferno cannon on the plastic one looks different. Its the one marked 3 in the image.

GW isn't going to cater with doing Loyalist Huron again, so that's unlikely to the I'm calling you wrong without it even being revealed.

I agree Inferno Cannon, but don't agree GW is going to do Chaos Dreads when Helbrutes are literally right there.

Arent there decades between 3 and 2/1 ? Not beyond the realm of possibility that the design would get a significant overhaul.

Well, yes, but

 

 

It would also really make sense of the Hellbrutes absence from the Emperors children codex, if a massive upscale is coming with a possibly new weapon loadout. ( though this looks way too clean for my taste.)

 

 

But it could also be a knight weapon.

Or a completely new tank or daemon engine, because when it comes to vehicles etc. 40k GW more often goes for something new than updating something old. ( only the sentinel and monolyth spring to mind in recent times.)

Well, yes, but

 

 

To be fair on the poor Hellbrute, it's not that it's too small; it's that the Primaris Dreadnoughts are too big. The Castraferrum (which the Hellbrute is an equivalent to/corruption of) was supposed to be small to fit in confined spaces and be feasible in boarding actions and the like. Modern GW just forgot their own fluff in a fit of "durrr bigger is cooler! GIANT ROBOT!". Now, there IS a Chaos walker that desperately needs a model refresh that would work as a size-match to the Primaris Dreadnoughts- the Defiler.

While true, it is not like the newer dreadnoughts were made for that same niche. They're made for BIG GUN. And while the rules team slowly but surely erodes the unit profile, and the writing team rarely ever mentions it anymore, it is still there.

 

Or we just handwave the corridors to be bigger, because everything in 40k is bigger. Either way I wouldn't mind some form of exalted helbrute. Or maybe 30k picks up the slack with a castraferrum kit.

Apologies for any confusion, I was not intending to suggest a new Chapter Master Lufgt Huron model.

 

I was trying to speculate that it might be a new Lord Huron Blackheart sculpt, but with his Heavy Flamer looking more like his Badab War era one. (Rather than the palm-mounted one in the Tyrant's Claw, as it's been previously portrayed on his Chaos model.)

 

(And then noting that the widdle hooks made others' suggestion of a Knight weapon far more likely.)

There will be NO refresh of Hellbrute in near future, CSM still have 29years old csm bikes and bad size Raptors/warptalons, stupid looking Spawns ,  Old Defiler, and Venomcrawler + Obliterators in one MO Box, not mention NO Huron model, i know GW have stupid priorities but Helbrute is fine

If it is a Knight/ Titan I would suggest maybe thr chaos Armiger equivalent- just based on size.
