Don’t own any Primaris range models.

1. Are Reiver arms the same as the Intercessor arms? I know the Reiver armor is different, but from looking at photos, the arm section and gauntlet look the same.

This would mean that you could pick up the Combat Patrol and have another GH pack by swapping arms and Bolter carbines with a Reivers bitz but.

Back in the day, I would buy 1 Tactical box for every GH box to mix up the builds and dull down the Wolfiness. It also netted me the extra special weapons and a missile launcher for a Long Fangs pack. Now just a matter of seeing how to do the same.

Gonna be all about efficiency with the buy I will be doing.

Same? No. Compatible? Yes.

The Intercessor arms have an extra armour plate on the forearm making them slightly visually different. But the Reiver arms fit just fine. Example (lighter blue plastic is a set of Reiver arms)

Lacking the additional reinforcement on the forearm plate, Reiver arms are visually closer to earlier marks of armour, so I used them quite a bit to represent older/replacement parts on my Gatebreakers, a Chapter confined to the Endworlds of the Galactic halo, who are forced to use whatever equipment they can find to supplement their recent Primaris reinforcements. Here're some examples (and note the sergeant on the left also uses arms from the Reiver kit).

The bolt... uh... carbines(?) look like the cool boltguns from the old scout bikers, so I was very happy to scatter some in alongside bolt rifles and older boltgun styles.

... and talking of using older boltgun types, the hands are also easy to trim from the Reiver arms to slot in whichever weapons you like.

I built these before the release of the new Horus Heresy upgrade kits, and so was forced to faff around with awkward conversion work to get left hands gripping the replacement weapons, but that's not a problem now, and should make things much quicker.

The main problem with using the Reiver arms is that they have an integrated small pauldron on the right arms, so you need to do a bit of trimming (or a full shoulder swap) to get normal pauldrons to fit.

I swap mine around all the time Reivers and normals, no issues, the big pain is the right arm Pauldron as apologist said, be ready for a lot of cutting and shaving to make a normal pad fit.

What time is it?

Dremel time!!
