Teetengee
So, I do a lot of kitbashing and have noticed a bigger issue with time. In days of yore, I could largely just organize a bit box into arms, legs, heads, etc... But with the rise of more and more monopose kits, parts are often not interchangeable but can be hard to tell which parts go with each other once they're snipped from sprue. How are you all organizing your bit boxes these days? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385671-bit-box-organization/ Share on other sites
Firedrake Cordova
My "bitz box" is one of the old mail order boxes (the ones with Da Trollz on them) - most things are simply in their own 4"x6" resealable plastic bag with a Post-It! note on it. It's worked since the 1990's ... Grotsmasha
I use a big box and sandwich bags. After a bit of practice I can pick out matching arms (or at least ones that will work) just by looking at the wrist positions. For monopose torsos/legs like Intercessors, I usually glue torso/waist/legs together before they go in the bits bag. NovemberIX
I have a bead box with largish sections that I use, for larger projects I have a set of plastic parts drawers that can fit things as big as a land speeder. Examples below Firedrake Cordova and DemonGSides 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385671-bit-box-organization/#findComment-6104555 Share on other sites
Ramell
I keep my models split up in drawer setups not unlike what frater November IX posted, with dividers in the drawers. In those drawers I keep matching parts (bodies, bolt rifle arms, things like that), together in the same subdivision. Jukkiz
iuse the method of cutting arms that hold weapons, with bit of sprue. Best if they´re close together and in other cases, i glue the bit of sprues together so i don´t lose pairs. Corswain
Space marines are still largely done by heads, arms, legs etc. but everything else is now organised by army ie. Thousand Sons, Soulblight Gravelords. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385671-bit-box-organization/#findComment-6104853 Share on other sites
