An FAQ for Heresy Thursday? Is that what it's come to GW? Diaz still has yet to be shown, but the other Mars characters are out, but I guess we're back to padding out the days.

Congrats to Tiny-Heresy players for getting a FAQ though, if it's anything like 30k then this will probably be the only FAQ you'll get until the next edition.

While I always enjoy seeing new models, I'm also happy to see a much-needed FAQ

I'm particularly pleased to see some of the rougher edges smoothed off through the FAQ clarifications; and the fixing of obvious oversights like the Thanatar no longer fitting in transports, and the Cyclops now able to affect buildings. I'm also happy to see infantry knocked down a peg by the changes to the March order. While it doesn't walk back all the problems with the game, it's a definite step in the right direction, and I hope that it'll improve the gaming experience for all concerned.

... and for what it's worth, can I just point out that it's Heresy Thursday, not Age of Darkness Thursday? The format is just a fun little way for GW to promote all of the games under that setting umbrella – which includes Age of Darkness, but also Legions Imperialis and Adeptus Titanicus (and potentially even poor old Aeronautica Imperialis). Getting grumpy about it not covering your particular game system seems a bit of a case of sour grapes. The amount of vitriol thrown at the Warhammer Community team on social media about this is crazy!

There's 52 Thursdays in a year.

For 30k there's 18 Space Marine Legions, Solar Auxilia, Mechanicum as mainline Specialist Games factions (20)

For epic scales there's Knight Households, Titan Legions, Solar Auxilia, Mechanicum, Dark Mechanicum and Legiones Astartes (6).

Hoping that each of those factions is represented twice a year isn't unreasonable of the community. Expecting that each of those factions is represented once a year isn't unreasonable. Accepting that most of those factions aren't represented at all during the year is the reality.

A FAQ 18 months after release shouldn't take up one of those Thursdays, IMO, as welcome as it is.

Yup, there's a lot of entitled people in the hobby who, when they don't get their specific toys, throw a tantrum.

It's quite pathetic seeing some of the response on the instagram posts, from grown-ass adults.

Honestly this is why I understand GW's lack of long term communication. What started as a fun thematic thing that previews some upcoming stuff now and again, has turned into something that people hang expectations on, with people upset if they don't hit their desired amount of releases or even spread of factions.

Better then to not release info structurally and just wow people with releases whenever you feel like it.

I've only looked at the core rules faq so far, but i was very pleasantly surprised with all the internet discussed things that they captured. Usually the specialist games get like, half at most, but there's a lot here. Tarantulas in transports, master tactician invalidating assault transports, the super weird loophole of starting thunderhawks in hover and embarking ogryns into them, fall back order and running away from combat. There was a lot of good balance fixed in there too, like March being more proportional to reign in infantry maneuverability, flyers bring unable to overwatch so the first person to get a lightning on the board wins the aerial trade, and infiltrators being unable to charge.

But.

The game is still basically small scale apocalypse with massive weapon/unit disparity. There's no substantive rules restriction on spamming the good options, and those options drown out all the other choices. It's like if 10th had even fewer restrictions, was even more hyper lethal, and some how took longer to play the "recommended" game size.

On behalf of GW, I would like to apologise to all for this mixup.

It looks like some of the material for the upcoming FAQ Wednesday format got placed into the wrong update queue.

Once FAQ Wednesdays are up and running, we hope this minor blip will be nothing but a distant memory.

In other news, Heresy Thursdays are being streamlined into a new category, which shall henceforth be known as ‘Thursdays’.

Hope this helps!

I just hope next Thursday is even more Legions Imperialis models, if only so I can read the responses here.

Bonus points for GW if it isn’t even an actual model but something stupid like a model shuffle broom or magnifying glass just for painting 8mm models only.

Best case would be an Imperial Fist character in 8mm scale. Camba Diaz, before he arrives in 32mm, would be the ultimate troll move.

I’m surprised by just how much annoyance the Heresy Thursday articles cause. GW has been consistently inconsistent in terms of both the contents of these articles and whether they appear at all. We’ve had many, many articles about tiny plastic tanks which weren’t then released for almost a year in some cases. It doesn’t make sense but it never has and never will. Don’t worry about it.
