I'm concerned about Bezerkers being S4, they have been S5 for a long time.

Yes, but Berzerker Warband gives them +2 str on the charge, and Goretrack gives them Lance when charging after having disembarked that turn. Combine that with a strat that lets you disembark and charge after the rhino moves, and the foot prince discounting a CP cost by 1 for a friendly within 12" with the power of friendship, and Goretrack sounds like a lot of fun. You can also then charge the rhino, and re-embark the zerks with another strat at the end of the fight phase. It's all very CP heavy, hence probably needing support from the prince to discount and the changed MoE to generate bonus CP's but this is a major glimmer of hope. I just hope it actually works.

Bezerkers being S4

Yeah, although if their points go down a bit in response, I'm okay with it especially if we get base move increase instead. Hoping they end up like 75 or maybe 80 for 5, since on their own I feel like they end up being far more comparable to Legionnaries as a start.

If 20-man Zerks are possible, that suggests they might go to 10/20 instead of 5/10? If so, I'd suggest that implies a larger drop in points since it sets your base expense on the marine battleline that much higher, but I'll be plenty happy with like 3x10 for ~450.

I think I'm most excited for Daemonkin (esp. Juggerlord with Hound buddies), Spawn, plus LoneOp Prince behind Goremonger/Jakhal wall.

I've never used Angron, so I'll be fine with that. I'll be looking to add 10 Zerks to my 20, and maybe a few more 8bound (currently just 9 of them). I might rebase my flesh hounds finally, but most of all I'm just glad the Codex will support the inclusion of my Daemons sideboard when I want a bit of a change.

Cheers,

The Good Doctor.

At the very least I’m for anything that’s takes a unit for “must include in all cases” to “could include if it fits what you want to do”.

Yeah, the nerf itself was probably too far, but I'm all for killing his resurrect mechanic.

This is also a REALLY bad move. It actually somewhat kills any hype I would've had.

Because the Emperor's Children are all raving lunatics, constantly frothing and none of them could be bothered to take mechanics 102. They got bored after the rhino/ land raider course. Conversely the World Eaters were much more focused and passed 102 which included predators, dreads and other such things.

There you go, all cleared up :)

About as much effort as GW proper.....your hired! lol

Well at least the khorne can rub this is the face of dark prince followers.

The WE only passed Mechanics 102 because they got top marks in the Tank Shock and Vehicle Melee sections, which allowed them to scrape by with a grade of D+.

We just beheaded the professor and dabbed shaped vaguely reminiscent of passing grades on our papers with his blood. That's the kind of outside the box thinking that would never occur to you Thousand Sons.

PS: There's a Jakhal detachment, so hope springs eternal for you guys to get the Tzaangor detachment that you've always wanted.

For every Tzaangor unit you own but dont include in your list you get 10 VP.

On the WE leakes, having the Jugger Lord be able to ride out with more Juggers (even if there are Letters ridding them instead of Bezerkers) sounds like a plus. definatly of intrest.

The Jakal detachment aslo seems thematic, though i suspect that the DP and Lords of Skull will bethe star of those lists.

The bigger news with respect to the Juggerlord is that he now grants his movement speed and 3" engagement range to whatever unit he leads, so he doesn't lose his speed when attached to infantry. That's big. Yuge, even.

There is also a blessing for 6" pile in/consolidate, so that means that he and his bros sprint everywhere at 10" base movement, and have a threat range of 9" after killing a screen to consolidate into something juicy.

Games Workshop works in strange and unknowable ways.

No excess in all avenues, only expert marksmanship and swordsmanship. -GW

You'd think at least one of those degenerates would hard-wire themselves into a tank for the dopamine rush of angling a shell into a target, but I guess not.

I honestly wouldnt cheer ( or despair ) too quickly about vehiclegate. I wouldnt be all that suprised if all it means is that EC next mayor release is already in the pipeline despite "waiting the shortest" just watch it be one of the EoE storylines that Fulgrim and Vashtorr team up and they get gifted goodies ( both in setting and out )

Its funny, I expected WE to remain the one Id be least interested in, but

YES, exactly that.
Also some Bloodbound.

I wonder if I could convert Repentia into something that convincingly represents Bloodletters.. or maybe Saurus warriors.. its project time ( eventually...)

You could probably reverse this with tormentors, infractors, noise marines vs bezerkers and 4 million jakhal flavours.

We may lose on vehicles but the infantry are definitely peak by comparison in my humble view.

They generally like that kind of thing so not sure that's a bad thing?...

No problem, Brothers, to his credit, this YouTuber gives a concurrent conclusions summary, so I'll just fill-in on certain details:

image.thumb.png.1bdae61a0bb14bd12575779ce0e87cbb.png

Army Rules:

- losing advance & charge and Feel No Pain hurts

- but +2 move being rolled into data sheets is nice
- Dev Wounds fixes AP problem

Detachments:

- Berzerker Warband (+2 Strength, +1 Attacks ON CHARGE) likely to remain gold standard thx to damage buffs
- Goretrack Onslaught (Khorne Klown Kar, Berzerkers can hop off Rhino, kill, hop back on) sounds fun w/ great objective control

- Khorne Daemonkin (is back, 1000 pts can be spent on Khorne Daemons) is cute but Blood Tithes are hard to rely on

Units:

- Angron is turbo-nerfed

- Eighbound being more specialised is interesting

- (Unlike Emperor's Children) Helbrutes remain, in Goretrack Onslaught Detachment can walk through walls with 6" consolidate

- Terminators are dead :(

- Defiler has a cute party trick against deep strikers

General Takeaways

- Most detachments play staging counterstrike style very well

- Way LESS emphasis on alpha strikes (he pointed out they made Emperor's Children the choice to hit fast, while WE hit hard)

- Worried some Detachments lack damage output

Just making it easier for those reading on a phone, etc.  If you wish to view the video yourself:

So…their likely best detachment is just a copy of LAG?
of course it is, they can only hope and pray to be as cool as blood angels. It’s why they call their primarch the red angel.

No argument there, I'd take our releases and the attention/care that was poured into them over theirs without a second thought. Doesn't make it any less baffling though

well with all the doom and gloom, feels like I got a new army I might need to try when the codex launches!

Unless of course GW want to surprise announce Tau buffs coming in June. hahahaha...oh need to remember that joke for cegoragh, he'd love it.

I would have traded Predators, Forgefiends, and Helbrutes for Red Butchers, Berzerker surgeons, and maybe Rampagers, being a Berzerker variant with gladiatorial melee weapons and no pistols. You know, flavorful WE stuff like the EC got.

As-is I’m very happy that we kept everything, but it is a bit odd that the EC lost what really should be universal units. But who knows, GW is fickle. They might give it back.

It is quite baffling, yes. I mean, they're basically free money, in the sense that the kits already exist and you'd think they might as well sell them to EC players too. Personally, I was quite sure that they'd keep the chaos tanks around forever, both for thematical reasons (they provide all the traitor legions with a common identity and link to the heresy) and because of the aforementioned "free money". Now I'm not so sure anymore, although I don't believe the kits themselves are going away anytime soon.

Did they really, though? Infractors and Tormentors are just Legionaires (with Infractors having literally the same exact bespoke rule as Legionaires). Anyone willing to trade away people's collections for a couple bespoke kits is insane. Flawless Blades aren't worth the loss of Bikes or Obliterators.

You're right, existing as Chaos Marines +1 is far more sane.
