Is there only one generic Astartes Combat Patrol?

As per the title, is the list that is based on the contents of the current Space Marines: Combat Patrol box the only Combat Patrol available for generic Astartes or have other Combat Patrols been published?

I have a homebrew chapter I would like to play as a CP but I'm not that keen on the Space Marines: Combat Patrol box.

The only other alternative I can see at the moment is to 'borrow' the Combat Patrol of another Chapter.

Title clarification

Probably best served to look at the non standard space Marines for a better combat patrol that fits your head canon. BA have an old one with an impulsors and aggressors, DA have an older one with a redemptor.

Otherwise, the app has all of them and they remain accessible even if you don't have the codex.

Thank you @Lord Nord in Gravis Armour that's well worth a look - I think I have at least some of the minis required for the Patrol.

To remind myself, this in WD496.

You don't need to hunt down the White Dwarf article. It's on the WarCom site as well:

The Dark Angel Combat patrol is a good one for anyone starting a space marine collection. If you're not going to do Dark Angels then you can sell or trade the two older Dark Angel primaris upgrade sprues that come with it. In retrospect I'b buy two, and sell/trade the extra gravis captain and the older DA upgrade sprues if you're not doing DA. 20 regular intercessors are definitely not the worst thing you could have in a space marine collection given their new shooting rules.

I'm kind of curious where they're going to end up after a full churn of Combat Patrol Boxes.  The original boxes were wildly unbalanced compared to the new rules - which is probably why they release a new box just about every time they update/release the new Codex for each faction.  One of the biggest problems obviously was Vehicle vs Anti-Vehicle.  Strike Force Macellos with Aggressors and an Impulsor was a tough nut to crack.  Meanwhile its replacement The Sanguinary Strike Force with only the one Inferno Pistol over a native S5 is going to find it tough vs T6+

I have no real idea? It doesn't feel like they are really pushing the Combat Patrol level of 40k? In terms of quality of collecting a specific faction not all of them are anywhere near equal in terms of content and value?

When it comes to moments of unknown with Games Workshop always go with what makes the most financial sense for them.

That's because Combat Patrol has "changed"  Combat Patrol Boxes aren't (necessarily) a value set anymore.  Its not primarily a way to buy multiple kits on the cheap.  They're the half of a starter set if that army was in the starter set.  They're pretty much by definition the "starter army" for a given faction.  The Christmas Time Army Boxes are what they're more recently pushing as extreme value sets.

Based on a cursory glance of what's "left" to release, Wolves and Drukhari are going to be some interesting new Combat Patrols - Wolves have/had the Warsuit, and Drukhari had multiple vehicles.

Ironically the old marine combat patrol box(shadowspear marine half + 1 impulsor) had almost the best purchase value among all patrol boxes, while current one(half of Leviathan marine) has worst purchase value.

And if you judge by "playability" in Combat Patrol its pretty much reversed with the new one being one of the best.
