Spiny Norman Posted yesterday at 09:14 AM Share Posted yesterday at 09:14 AM How compatible are these two Kill Zones? From pictures the style of Volkus looks similar to Fronteris and the old Ryza ruins, does anyone have both or knowledge of both and can say more definitively? I don't need the parts to be compatible, more that I want them to "look right" together - I've got Fronteris but it's quite flat, and I was hoping to add some height with the Volkus buildings. Bouargh Posted yesterday at 09:41 AM Share Posted yesterday at 09:41 AM (edited) Most scenery kits share common features at least in terms of details and scaling, although compatibility as such remain somehow subjective. In my opinion, unifying with a common paint scheme helps. Once that said, I however do not really mix my own Sector mechanicus/administratum scenery with the Fronteris range. I own both but they do not mix and match that well IMHO. Yet it is only an opinion of mine, so it worths what it worths. To give height to Fronteris range I would rather bet on ash desert range from Necromunda. Volkus itself, although a tad less high than mechanicus or administratum ranges, blend better with these. If you however play on big tables, you can splash groups of scenery of each range and getting a global outlook quite OK. I've never shot pics of my own sets together but I may try in a few days. Edit: Mike Zulu's blog has nice pics of mixed sceneries with Fronteris range, it might be of interesting for you Edited 9 hours ago by Bouargh skylerboodie and Spiny Norman 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385780-kill-zones-volkus-and-fronteris-compatibility/#findComment-6107541 Share on other sites
