I have spent the last few days working on a series of tutorials showing members how to embed images in their content, create albums, upload images to albums, and manage both albums and images.

Warning: These tutorials are image-intensive.

I didn't provide detailed steps/screenshots on things like rotating images, deleting images, or deleting albums. I figured those would be pretty intuitive. If anyone disagrees, let me know here and I may find time to add those details.

I'm not sure if the current organization of these tutorials is "right." I went with each tutorial showing all of the things you can do with X rather than having individual tutorials on x, y, and z. If you think the more granular organization might be better, let me know here (if enough people feel that way, I may revise these tutorials).

I always learn new things when working on these tutorials. By far, the most interesting thing that I learned this time around was that members have the ability to add notes to the images in their albums. A link to an example follows this, but it's important that you know to (a) mouseover the image, then (b) roll the mouse/pointer over each box to see each note. Take a gander at this image in one of my albums to see an example of the notes. Don't get too excited - those notes only appear when you're in the album . I got really excited thinking that you could embed an image in other content (like discussion posts and blog entries) and the notes would appear, but that's not how things work. It may be time to embrace the site in its entirety rather than just focusing on the Forum feature .
