Hello there,

I found yesterday, a pair of W40K Venomcrawlers in a box and, after reading the Martian Civil War supplement,I want to give some use as Blood Slaughterers. At least, one.

But it's correct to use a Venomcrawler as Blood Slaughterer? The first have 100mm diameter base, but the second has none. And the other cuestión is the size if the model. I think they have similar dimensions, maybe the Blood Slaughterer it's a bit taller. But I'm not sure.

Obviously, if my opponent agrees there's no problem. But if I go to play out my usual area, I want to know if it's possible to use one as the other, or are too many differences between to use a Venomcrawler as Blood Slaughterer.

That's all. Thanks in advance.

Most opponents would probably be OK with your using a Blood Slaughterer as a Venomcrawler. Both are similarly-sized hellish daemon robots. I think (?) the Venomcrawler is a bit smaller.

I just measured my 2 Blood Slaughterers. Their dimensions are roughly 80 mm tall, 90 mm wide depending on how you position the legs, and about 100 mm long. So fitting Blood Slaughterers on a 100 mm base would be a squeeze but it would be possible with careful leg positioning. My Blood Slaughterers are on 125 mm oval bases. I love 888 and BloodLady, my 2 Blood Slaughterers as they go skittering up the field towards the foe!

In measures is quite similar, yep. The problem, maybe, is the base.

My Venomcrawlers are in 100 mm round bases and a 125 mm oval  bases maybe it's too much...or not.

But in measures are quite similar.

Do it. Venomcrawler will be an okay subsitute. An opponent who objects is probbaly not worth playing against,

Yes, you're right. But I hate travel hundreds of kilometres to just starting an argument...I just want to enjoy the hobby.

I've made 3 and not had any problems with them. Dark mech is all about the converting opportunities for me.

If you're worried can you check with your opponent/ event organiser beforehand?

I've added pics for reference.
