Hello everybody!

Fisrt of all, I'm French, so sorry my english is not very good (imagine my accent...)...

I'm looking for an old White Dwarf, end of 90's-beginning of 00's. It is an Orks W40k army showcase, and the part that I remember is that he painted his warbikes in different colors, making allusion to Reservoir Dog, with Mister Pink, White, Blue, Brown... I have thrown away my WD, and I can't find wich WD it was... And now that I am starting my own warbikes, I wanted to read again this article...

Can you help me, please? I asked on the french Warhammer Forum, nobody was able to help me... B&C, you are my only hope... (french word for word traduction of leila speech... ok, i go out...)

Merci!

Ps: I'm almost sure, it was the old warbike edition...

Hmm, not sure I remember that one, sorry (although it does jog a vague memory...).

In any case, welcome to the forum and I hope someone can tell you the issue you are after.

And, yes, your translation of Leia's dialogue was spot on.

Thank you both!

I already searched on Lexicanum, but contents descriptions are very superficials and there are not a lot of pictures... but it's better then nothing

I have sent a mail to GW directly to ask for help, maybe there's a very old troll hanging about some dark and forgotten rooms of the building...

I'm afraid it doesn't ring a bell.

More or less every time see someone say this, what follows is not bad English  (your English is fine)

Thanks! I'm not used to speak/write in english, so it's a good opportunity to practice!

I received yesterday a mail from GW telling me they couldn't find the article because it is too old and they don't have referenced all the WD... And also because, by the time, WD was also written by different staffs in different countries...

Arf... Well, I guess I just have to do it the old way: getting my glasses, a good seat, patience and read (yes, I know, my life is soooo hard...)... and some luck...

Thank you all anyway!

I was going to say just that. I also was subscribed to the french White Dwarf in the early 00's, and it wasn't just a translation of the UK White Dwarf but there was a bespoke editorial team for each country with specific articles and battle reports made specifically for said country. What I fondly remember was a series of articles about a French GW employee who had assembled a full space marine chapter...

If that's not it, do you think it could have been GorkaMorka related content.

Sounds plausible, works, small warbands, lots of individual modelling opportunities. Having each member of the war band be themed like Reservoir Dogs sounds awesome for a game like GorkaMorka.

1997 is when it came out, so that might narrow your search slightly.

It really is frustrating when you can't find stuff. For years I've also been trying to find a specific conversion that was in a GW campaign around 2005-2007 that used the new at the time space marine captain with power fist, an iron warrior helmet and some other stuff. I've never been able to find that pic again :/ (not trying to derail but just comiserating lol

I think I might know the army in question, I'm sure it belonged to Adrian Wood and was around the time of Gorka Morka as he used a lot of the new (at the time) truck and bike kits in it. He may have used them in the Rorke Drift battle report they did? I appreciate that's not overly specific but might narrow down the time frame at least? I may also be mis-remembering....
