Chaos - Knights.png

Greetings House Leaders and Fell Blades

Call to Arms is back this year, but I'm running it for @Grotsmasha.  For those new to B&C or simply unaware, Call to Arms is a Forum wide event that this year runs from June 15th until September 15th!

The forum is split up into 5 Strongholds: Imperium, loyal Astartes (which is new this year), Chaos, Xenos and Heresy with all 5 factions competing against one another to paint the most in the 3 months time limit. There will be a Central hub thread for each of the Strongholds in the Work in Progress section of the Forge forum which will be linked once it's live. We can use thread to cross post in and track/give motivation to those participating.  For those of you familiar with previous Call to Arms events, the rules are exactly the same this year except for loyal Astartes being their own stronghold.

Check out the full rules here

If you've got any questions, give me or one of the Mods a shout!

Start Date: 15th June

Here is a more detailed list of points per model specifically for the Chaos Knights

The below list should cover every model for the Chaos Knights (if I'm missed any, please let me, @Dr_Ruminahui, know and I'll figure out their point values and add them);

Note: Custom/Scratchbuilt terrain- use this list as a guide as to how many points tour terrain is worth, but please make sure to mention your terrain is custom when Vowing.

All points are per model. For example if you pledge 4 Wardogs (4ptsx4), 1 Despoiler (10pts), and a Tyrant (10pts), your vow would be worth 36pts

Please feel free use this thread as a place to share your thoughts, ideas, and WIPs prior to the Event to motivate and inspire the Chaos Knights and Chaos to Victory!!!  After June 15th, please do the same in the Chaos Stronghold!

* ALL STRONGHOLDS ARE NOW OPEN, YOU CAN NOW MAKE YOUR VOWS *

Happy painting!  Be sure to cheer on your fellow stronghold participants!

As a reminder, all vows must be completed by September 15th.

I will no longer be monitoring these threads in the faction forums - if you have any questions, please ask me in the Strongholds or @Dr_Ruminahui

My pledge is in the faction strong hold but in short it is 14 wardogs and a Tyrant.
This is day one progress because I'm chuffed with how the bases came out on a macro scale. Under spoilers to not flood the screen unless people actually want to see.
My plan loosely is to work from the ground up in sub assemblies. Because a) I'm a sucker for mass production in models b) It'll help keep me consistant on colour choices for the different gubbins and main panels between models (with some variation but same tones and high light colours)
And c) I think it'll make great process shots to have them slowlyy build upwards.

Spoiler

I'm going for a red brick side walk next to a black road bed, some road markings and a rain crossing on the side for variation.
Happy to dive into more detail for those interested.
