Chaos - Guard.png

Greetings Generals, Warlords, Nobles, Priests, Champions and Others Favoured by the Warp

Call to Arms is back this year, but I'm running it for @Grotsmasha.  For those new to B&C or simply unaware, Call to Arms is a Forum wide event that this year runs from June 15th until September 15th!

The forum is split up into 5 Strongholds: Imperium, loyal Astartes (which is new this year), Chaos, Xenos and Heresy with all 5 factions competing against one another to paint the most in the 3 months time limit. There will be a Central hub thread for each of the Strongholds in the Work in Progress section of the Forge forum which will be linked once it's live. We can use thread to cross post in and track/give motivation to those participating.  For those of you familiar with previous Call to Arms events, the rules are exactly the same this year except for loyal Astartes being their own stronghold.

Check out the full rules here

If you've got any questions, give me or one of the Mods a shout!

I guess there are few ways of looking at it.

The first is how do you think you would field it - would you use them using the mortal units in the CSM codex plus assorted vehicles?  If so,, this is the right place.  Or do you think you would use the genestealer cultists rules?  If so, GSC would be the right place.

The second is what makes the best connection to your background?  This is how it is permissible to post traitor guard armies using the AM/IG rules here, and vow them from here.  Is it due to skaven's chaotic nature and/or their use of chaos forces?  If so, here seems right.  Or does the "out of the warrens uprising" vibe of GSC work better?

So I think either of here or GSC works for your "home" for this army, depending on where you put the focus of your army.  Anyway, let me know your thoughts.

My intention is that they are a chaos force from a background perspective, and since they don't have rules, they might even fall under

Any models that fall outside of the Strongholds, such as Necromunda, Blackstone Fortress, terrain, etc, may be pledged to ANY Stronghold.

I am unsure if I intend to run them using any existing ruleset, to be honest, but traitor guard definitely seems the closest parallel, regardless of what they end up being mechanically.
