Greetings Autarchs, Farseers, Warlocks, Phoenix Lords, Avatars of Khaine or Ynnead and other Children of Asuryan.

Call to Arms is back this year.  For those new to B&C or simply unaware, Call to Arms is a Forum wide event that this year runs from June 15th until September 15th!

The forum is split up into 5 Strongholds: Imperium, loyal Astartes (which is new this year), Chaos, Xenos and Heresy with all 5 factions competing against one another to paint the most in the 3 months time limit. There will be a Central hub thread for each of the Strongholds in the Work in Progress section of the Forge forum which will be linked once it's live. We can use thread to cross post in and track/give motivation to those participating.  For those of you familiar with previous Call to Arms events, the rules are exactly the same this year except for loyal Astartes being their own stronghold.

Check out the full rules here

If you've got any questions, give me or one of the Mods a shout!

I've not set my vow in stone yet but I've got plenty prepped right out of the gate. If the rules are the same as previous years then models being assembled up to being primed is considered okay, right? If that's the case I will have plenty to work on.

Not sure what I will nominate first but like I did with the year I entered for Adeptus Mechanicus I think I'll start with a small Vow and scale up from there so I don't bite off more than I can chew.

STRONGHOLDS OPEN JUNE 15, 2025

For the Full Rules and where to place your vows for the Aeldari go to the  The Xenos Stronghold

Start Date: 15th June

End Date: 15th September

Here is a more detailed list of points per model specifically for the Aeldari

The below list should cover every model for the Aeldari (if I'm missed any, please let me, @Dr_Ruminahui, know and I'll figure out their point values and add them);

1pt    Guardians, Aspect Warriors, Wraith Guard/Blades

2pts   Jetbikes

3pts   Support Weapon Teams, Vyper, War Walker

4pts   Wraithlord, Star/Void weaver, Hornets

Note: Custom/Scratchbuilt terrain- use this list as a guide as to how many points tour terrain is worth, but please make sure to mention your terrain is custom when Vowing.

All points are per model. For example if you pledge 20 Guardians (1ptx20), 3 Jetbikes (2ptsx3), a War Walker (3pts), and a Farseer (5pts), your vow would be worth 34pts

Please feel free use this thread as a place to share your thoughts, ideas, and WIPs prior to the Event to motivate and inspire the Aeldari and Xenos to Victory!!!  After June 15th, please do the same in the Xenos Stronghold!

Okay. Here's my current progress on a pool of potential models for the event. I'm not claiming they will all end up in the vows but I decided to give myself options and pressure myself into getting that Pile of Shame dug into. This is a decent chunk of it.

image.thumb.jpeg.8f4debef2425972343347ebf87a1b272.jpeg

This is:

10 Dire Avengers

10 Striking Scorpions

5 Wraithblades

1 Autarch

1 Winged Autarch

Fuegan

3 Support Weapon Platforms

1 Wave Serpent

1 Falcon

3 Shining Spears

I am considering one more optional addition. I will probably go for a small first vow to gauge how quickly I can tackle these and then scale up depending on how much time I leave myself. Of course I've got plenty of time to arrange a plan.

Just done a quick spreadsheet to work out my potential points

Might see if I can find a couple of extra models to push it over the 100pt mark. It's basically all the new Aeldari models, the Aeldari content of combat patrol magazine plus some kit-bashed autarchs and a pair of war walkers. Will add photos when i submit my vow.

I wonder if epic scale minis are okay to enter? I've got a pretty big epic force I've been meaning to paint for ages, I'm guessing infantry stands wouldn't be worth much, points-wise, but vehicles are almost the size of single infantry minis in 28mm scale?

Normally epic scale stuff is pledged in the Horus Heresy Stronghold - so I will need to think about that.  Personally, I think it would be best to pledge it there and for me to create an "other" subfaction beyond the existing Warmaster and Emperor ones.  I would need to compare their sizes to the IA stuff before awarding them point values, though.

Here I am, Shamelessly copying Drakheart's style. I actually had to google how to use spreadsheets, since it's been so long since I used them.

I still have to break this up into manageable chunks and priorities. I'll probably split up the various Aspect squads to break up the crushing monotony of dark grey edge highlights.
