Also, Auroch Digital just released a statement saying they have news for the event. if it's Boltgun 2, a new dlc, or just a cosmetic for another game, who knows.

It could be, although them making more than 1 W40K game at the same time seems a bit strange really.

Don’t see why, they’re bigger than they once were, so I could totally see them doing more than one game at once. No guarantees they’re all going to be RPGs either based on what mort said in his video

They seem to have almost 500 people working there so the studio size seems alright for making several games at once, but it's more just what appears to be having that much of a focus on it to the extent of 3 games in a row in that setting.

They've also begun publishing other studios' games. So it's possible that they're announcing multiple Warhammer titles but they aren't ll developed by owlcat themselves.

Now that they have a working engine for the FFG RPG system, Dark Heresy/Only War/Deathwatch/Black Crusade are all just tweaks of that system. That's 4 more releases even without running multiple campaigns in a system. I'm actually not surprised that Black Crusade is one of the next ones, as they've already figured out how to integrate Space Marine level characters into a more human squad with the current system, so just flipping that to chaos will be easier.

The core gameplay mechanics are there, but it would still be a lot of work in terms of everything else having to be made for it in terms of writing, models, animations, locations etc and that's still going to be a lot of work.

Seems was right after all. We've got one that implies Dark Heresy, one that implies Black Crusade, and now one for Only War.
 

Surely they can't be announcing 3 W40K games that happen to be based around the 3 tabletop RPG games? That just seems like far too much. Yeah they're a fairly big studio that can work on more than 1 game, and they could be publishing others' games now....but that still just seems odd if that happens.

It may be they have the licenses for them and have a development plan stretching for years. The mechanics for each game on TTRPG are identical and they have the engine developed from Rogue Trader, so some of that side of things is done. Like you, I would be surprised if all were coming out soon as that does seem like quite the undertaking to script and produce.

It’s always about 50 mins of mobile games then something for Total Warhammer and now probably Space Marine 2.

Happy someone is glad about it.

Skulls was a disappointment. I guess I was expecting more than some remastered games, new content for existing ones, and updates.

DOW 1 was great and all, but I don't really want to replay it endlessly. Maybe if they improved the multiplayer.
