They are a lot harder than I thought they would be. Did some more work on him. Really just trying to get the yellows. I made decals for these guys. I don’t know if I use the wrong paper or did it wrong but I’m pretty good with putting decals on space marines but this decal killed me. Yes they are homemade. Now I have already ripped it off. I’m going to try to just paint the Firehawk insignia on his shoulder pad free hand. Everybody, please say a prayer. Plus, if anybody has had major success with doing your own decals, please share a recipe as there is no way, I am going to do an army of these guys and paint their shoulder pads, free hand! They ship fairly quickly (they are in Spain) and have a fun, eclectic catalogue of modeling supplies and gubbins. I especially like their little containers of tiny brass Chaos stars and emblems. I have never bought their decals. I found a copy of their rules in a 2nd edition White Dwarf and got hooked by the universe. I use them as base/trophy decoration for my renegades, though I go for a more burnt orange color rather than pure red. I've freehanded their chapter symbol once so far and it didn't come out too bad! Not sure I'd want to do it for a whole army though Can't wait to see more! Any plans for something really cool, maybe a Sergeant Centurius pre-LotD? All my most experienced marines will have icons or personal decals to incorporate that they are having dreams or premonitions of being on fire or in just becoming the Legion of the Damned. I will definitely do a sergeant Centurius pre-legion of the Damned in my army Here is my dreadnought that I’m working on and if you look at his left knee pad it is a way.
