Have been in the Warhammer 40k hobby since 2015. Bought the Dark Vengeance box and started my Dark Angels army, my one and only army. Started really playing during the 8th edition. Let me know if I'm way of and remembering the numbers wrong.

 

Have had multiple gaming groups, from min-maxers to casual gamers and, I have to admit, I prefer the casual 1k-isch games the most.

 

Have been out of the hobby for a few years because of life. A friend of mine suggested we try Kill Team a couple of months back and have been pleasently surprised how good Kill Team has become.

 

Anyhow, existed to be here and to contributing to the community.

Welcome!  My path back into the hobby also started with the Dark Vengeance box, which started my chaos army which (in its various flavours of Slaanesh) has continued to be my army since.  Haven't tried killteam, though - my gaming friends play so rarely there really isn't a point in trying to get them into a new game, as we have a hard enough time remembering the rules of the one we do play. 

 

Anyway, be sure to drop by the Killteam and Dark Angels forums.  There is currently a kill team painting event on, though it winds up at the end of May which may not give you enough to throw your own attempt in.  That said, you are just in time for Call to Arms,  B&C's biggest (and yearly) painting event - so check that out and considering pitiching in for one (or more) of the 5 factions.
