Three W40K video games, totally free, for PC:

-Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War (2018)

-Warhammer 40,000: Rites of War (1999)

-Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun - Words of Vengeance (2025)

Not bad at all, right! And in Gog.com is a "bag of Warhammer goodies" also free.

Not bad,isn't it?

I remember Rites of War when it came out, and after playing Chaos Gate, was super excited!

It was decidely OK.  But back then 40k games were thin on the ground, and It was good playing as the Eldar. But it was not as good as Chaos Gate.

Boltgun: Words of Vengeance is a typing game.

If that wasn't a real thing, that'd have been the best written joke of all time.

Oh my cog, Words of Vengeance...that is brilliant writing.

[ Type "KABOOM" to Explode Explosive. ]

Important Edit - BROTHERS!  I just realised what this is!  That Marine is using Enuncia!

Words of Vengeance is an alternative timeline where Mavis Beacon worshipped the God-Emperor of Mankind, wore power armor, and wielded massive weaponry as they fought heretics and xenos

So I could get my sons to learn to type through Warhammer!? What a golden age we live in …

Oh its very serious, and looks very fun!

It's real, but I'm not sure I would say it's serious.    That said, "Words of Vengeance" is a brilliant title for the game - kuddos to whoever came up with that one.

This type of typing game is actually older than you might think - towards the tail end of my time when I was in Japan in 1998-2000, in the arcades there was a typing version of the shooting (light gun) game House of the Dead called Typing of the Dead, with a keyboard instead of the light gun - I didn't ever play it, but thought the concept was hilarious.  And of course, "non-shooter" typing "games" have been around for a decade or so before that.

Good to see that concept of typer-shooter is alive (and well?) 25+ years later.

Typing of the dead is a classic, when I first saw it all those years ago it was a genuine ':cuss:' moment till I had chance to play it.

Rites of War was thoroughly enjoyable back in the day (I bought it first time around, back when those graphics were considered acceptable). It's a fun little hex-based strategy game where you can turn your guardians in aspect warriors and then into Exarchs (very much worth doing, even though they have fewer HP, from memory).

I've never played it but I seem to recall the player character's guns were replaced by keyboards in that version of the game.

In fact, it looks like their backpack is a Dreamcast connected to a giant battery. Cute.

I love the idea of Boltgun getting a game in this sort of style. With my tying ability, however, I will be typo'd to death in short order.

I had not remembered those little details - nice.
