Reporting Page updated - please review to ensure your entry is correct (subfaction, link, models vowed, point value, entry into Master of the Forge).  If you completed your vows, please double check to confirm that I have correctly noted such - and IF I HAVE MISSED A COMPLETION, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

My next steps are to double check my math, do the number crunching, and determine (through a vote among the forum "staff") the contestants for Astartes Stronghold Artificer badge.  To facilitate that, please post your best picture of your favorite painted model or unit that you did for the Astartes Stronghold in this Call to Arms - it will make my job much easier.

Additionally, if you have a Master of the Forge entry, please post your best picture of it as well.

Finally, if you haven't done so already, please post a "group shot" of all your completed models, whether or not you managed to complete your vow.

went with the Light of the Emperor instead of a timepiece, altered the arm, head swap, shaved off the floppy sleeve, and green stuffed the robe to make the asymmetry a part of it.

I think it’s solid “looks unconverted” conversion.

As requested, I've taken some better (less poorly lit) images of my favourite model from the vow, and my MotF entry!

Had a great time this year, even if I ended up painting far fewer models.

I'm setting a deadline of the end of the day Friday for extra pictures, as I intend to put together the candidates for voting next weekend.  So, in order to give your models the best chance in the voting, please post the best picture you can of your favorite model (if you haven't already - if you have, thank you) by the end of the week.  Note, if you don't provide new pictures, you are still in the running - I'll just be making my decisions based on the photos already posted, but that may prevent me from selecting models/units whose pictures doesn't focus on that particular model or unit.

Thank you to everyone who provided me with additional photos - they were all much appreciated.

I have now set up polls with all my semi-finalistis in the Admin/Mods subforum for them to vote on to determine the top 3 to run off for Stronghold Artificer.  That process should be done next weekend, at which point I will put up polls in the WIP subforum for general membership voting.   I will obviously post links here when that happens.

Good luck to the many talented artists whose models are in the running.

Voting for Stronghold Artificer is now complete - congratulations @Chaplain Raeven for your wonderfully done Dark Angels Chaplain!  Voting was incredibly tight, edging out @Wormwoods's equally fantastic Terminator Captain by one vote (14 to 13).  Thank you to everyone for participating, and all the wonderful entries - though those were the top 2 finishers, there were many others that were equally deserving.

You can see the final results of each of the Stronghold votes here:  Astartes / Imperium / Chaos / Xenos / Heresy

The final rounds of voting are now underway - please go to these links to choose your favourite entries for:

Call to Arms 2025 Astartes Stronghold Summary

First of all, thank you to the newcomers and returning members who participated in the 2025 Call to Arms, whether or not you completed your Vows, you have all made the event the success it has been. Between the five Strongholds, we all painted 3,028 points of MODELS, which is an OUTSTANDING result by any metric.

Second, I apologize for my delay in posting the final summaries - I had started to them fairly promptly, belatedly realized that I didn't have all the badges I needed, and by the time I did my life had gotten incredibly busy and stressful.  So I'm sorry for all those who have been waiting.

Third, thank you all to those who extended their thanks and appreciation through out the event.  I know I'm not very good at responding or acknowledging such, tending to brush it aside and focus on the matters at hand.  Anyway, I wanted to let you know that it is appreciated, so thank you and you're welcome.

Fourth, a big thank you to @Grotsmasha, for all the fantastic art used in the announcement posts and badges, his advice on things like point costs for models, and all of his past work creating the rules and framework for the event with the first and previous Call to Arms.

So, how did the Astartes Forums and Stronghold perform throughout the Event?

Total Points Vowed:  725.5

Total Points Completed: 593.5

Completion Ratio (Points):  81.81%

Number of Participants: 24

Number of Participants who completed all vows: 20

Completion Ratio (Participants): 83.33%

Even with having been hived off from the rest of the Imperium this year, the Astartes had the highest number of participants of all the Strongholds this year.  That said, and despite having an impressive completion percentage, its (relatively) low vowed points meant it finished in the middle of the pack in terms of competed points.

Adeptus Astartes - Participants vs Completed: 7/6 (85.71%), Pledged: 233 pts vs Completed: 181 pts  - 77.68% Completion

This was the Stronghold sub faction with the highest number of participants and the highest pledged points, which allowed it to achieve the highest completed points despite a failed vow, earning its participants the right to the Champions of the Horde Badge.

large.ChampionsoftheHordeAstartes.png.96

Black Templars - Participants vs Completed: 4/2 (50%), Pledged: 109 pts vs Completed: 55 pts  -  50.46% Completion

Though the Templars had a respectable number of participants and a decent vowed point total, only half the participants completed their vows.  I guess the Templars who too busy trying to get into melee to paint.

Blood Angels - Participants vs Completed: 4/4 (100%), Pledged: 119 pts vs Completed: 119 pts  -  100% Completion

Completing all their 6 vows, the Blood Angels participants achieved the 3rd highest points total of completed Astartes vows, and earned the right to bare the Champions of the Call Badge.

large.ChampionsoftheCallBloodAngels.png.

Dark Angels - Participants vs Completed: 6/6 (100%), Pledged: 176.5 pts vs Completed: 176.5 pts  -  100% Completion

With the second highest vowed points of the Astartes sub factions, their perfect completion rate almost gave them the highest total of completed points, being edged out by the Astartes sub faction by less than 5 points.  This was an impressive feat and their perfect completion rate earns the Dark Angels participants the right to bare the Champions of the Call Badge.

large.ChampionsoftheCallDarkAngels.png.a

Space Wolves - Participants vs Completed: 1/0 (0%), Pledged: 26 pts vs Completed: 0 pts  -  0% Completion

The Sons of Fenris unfortunately only had one participant, who failed to complete his vow.

Ultramarines - Participants vs Completed: 1/1 (100%), Pledged: 37 pts vs Completed: 37 pts  -  100% Completion

The Ultramarines also only had one participant, but he completed his vow, permitting him to use the Champions of the Call Badge.

large.ChampionsoftheCallUltramarines.png

Grey Knights - Participants vs Completed: 1/1 (100%), Pledged: 25 pts vs Completed: 25 pts  -  100% Completion

Similarly, the Grey Knights also only had one participant, who likewise completed their vow, permitting them to use the Champions of the Call Badge.

large.ChampionsoftheCallGreyKnights.png.

As with most Events, there are of course Badges for Individual Achievements within the Stronghold,

Starting with those who did not Complete their Vows, the Servitor Badge, these Participants are honour-bound to bear this Badge until years end.

Great job everyone!

I do expect next year I'll be able to turn out more than 5 guys in this Stronghold... Here's hoping we're all painting half an edition release box by July?

Cheers,

The Good Doctor.
