A great game that thousands bought and nobody played!

A second round of Super Heavy plastic kits. Warhound, tyranid bio titan, eldar scout titan, land train etc

I also think GW should create their own boardgame company. Not hyper expensive boardgames with miniatures in them, but more “normal” boardgames. Like the ones they made in years prior.

They should also create a small company that makes resin figures and busts.

They could capitalise on licenced cross overs. They've done Munchkins and Monopoly.

How about Hungry, Hungry Tyranids?

How about Cluedo: Inquisitor?

How about Guess Who? SM Chapters/Legions/Primarchs?

How about Operation: Xenos?

Hey I’ve made a custom Guess Who once before - should be easy to do for Warhammer without paying the GW uplift. Let’s do it. Let the arguments about whether Rogal Dorn has a moustache begin!

Can’t see Cluedo: Inquistor working though - surely the Inquisitor would just burn all the suspects just to be on the safe side?

How about a 40k version of Pandemic?

Pandemic: Chaos Manifest

Pandemic: Chaos Manifest is a cooperative game of teamwork for two to four players. As members of The Inquisition, you must keep four Chaos incursions at bay. Work together as you travel the Planetary system to investigate chaotic manifestations while collecting the cards you need to purge each breach in the warp. But the clock is ticking as demonic manifestations and cults fuel the coming warpstorm. As a cooperative game, players win or lose together. Only by working together can you keep the daemons in check and purge them in time!

Space Crusade.

Someone once explained to me that the reason they never made a new version of it was that they had to aplit rights with MB and that it takes 30 years until the rights are not claimed anymore? But since we now have a new version of Hero Quest I hope that at some point they will remember this beautiful game.

We played it again a couple of years ago and it holds up remarkable well. Easiest playing mechanic but nonetheless very tactical and great fun. We even discovered the old White Dwarf articles which allowed to use Terminator Squads (very good but slow) and Scout Squads (very bad but fast ;) ).

Unluckily the players I played with moved away. Otherwise I would have made me an Ork enter party which also got rules in that White Dwarf.

I'm still praying one day someone makes a "serial numbers filled off" Space Crusade homage, mechanically the same with some minor refinement and with a legally distinct setting and miniatures, still capturing that glorious late 80s/early 90s pulp sci-fi vibe. Even aside from being able to play the game with 40K minis and thus turn it from not-Space Crusade into actual Space Crusade, more cool throwback settings are always cool. "Cosmic Commandos Vs Space Scum" would be neat!

For a laugh: The Imperial Knight codex!

...because it ain't ever coming at this rate!

However for more grounded things, personally would like to see things like the classic dreadnought redone into proper scale. While the Redemptor (aka the Replumptor) is decent, it is a seperate chassis in lore to the castaferrum. Would be nice to give the castaferrum a proper upgrade and have a kit with the weapons of yore, including the fabled "rifleman" dreadnought of 2 twin-autocannons.

I would also like to see a plastic knight kit for the Magera and Styrix knight. I kind of realised GW could of easily done that with the new defender. Just make the kit a choice of ether ranged weapon + the siege claw or both ranged weapons and you would still have the defender. As it stands now...we have a knight which does leave a rather odd question: wouldn't there be not 1 but 3 variants of the weapons presented? One with just the Conversion Beamer, one with just the Plasma weapon and then the defender itself.

Just some lesser thoughts.

I had found a site that the guy has tried to collate all the Space Crusade information, such as rule books etc. He's gotten most of it, and it was last updated in 2011 it seems, but here's the link:

https://johnliu.net/spacecrusade-resource/2011/2/15/space-crusade-resources-reloaded.html

As with any external site with things to download, check it for viruses etc or whatever is needed.

If were manifesting in here, I got a couple of things I wanna see.

R/C Tanks: I know there's that dude that made his own R/C Land Raider, but I'm not that technically gifted, I wanna just buy a box that has everything in it to run one. I'm imagining a Rhino based kit with swappable hatches to make it a Predator, Whirlwind, or Razorback. Or a Land Raider one with light up las cannons. IG would be spoilt for choice, Orks could have R/C trucks I suppose, and some how the idea of a Necron Tesseract rolling around on tiny wheels seem hilarious to me.

Vehicle based PC games: So it comes back to Land Raiders and Predators, I want a game where I can drive, fly, and use a variety of Space Marine vehicles. I guess the ideal example would be Battlefield Horus Heresy. Besides vehicle combat, it'd be interesting to use and deploy the wide range of Space Marine support stuff like thunderfire cannons or calling in the missile drop pod. There was that game Eternal Crusade from a few years back that could have been it, but they were barely scratching the surface of what they could do, both gameplay wise and as a live service before they shut down. Semi-Relatedly, I'd love a Mechwarrior like Titan/Knight/Dreadnought game. Let me lead a squad and pick the loadout from a complete list of weapons and Chassis, and just go tear up enemy units in a wider battle space. An Ace Combat like for flyers would be interesting too, either from the Imperial Navy or Space Marines stable of flyers.

May I introduce you to it´s cousin of released but not played games:

The Imperial Knight Duel game released inside the first IK boxset. It had only a hit location dedicated to the front of the models as the designers were apparently too lazy to put in more effort. In later White Dwarfs the Ork Gorkanaut was also introduced as well as the Eldar Wraithknight.

On the strength of the post from @Brother Tyler and the above (plus a little research), I have recently 'manifested' a Betrayal at Calth box. I'll now begin the process of re-stocking it with models. I do love a boxed game!

A buddy and I played that for an afternoon a few months back and it was honestly a very good time, We are planning on doing a full tourney one of these days.

A bit of a hot take (maybe?), but how about more customizable models? It sucks when I find a model that looks kinda cool, then find out that it only has one configuration & no room to customize without serious surgery. Granted, this is most commonly an issue with the “character” units, but why shouldn’t a generic SM Captain have multiple configurations so that their model can look more unique instead just another face in the crowd, same as everyone else’s? If GW is really worried about being outmoded by 3D printing, why not make their stuff with more customization options included? I know they make some upgrade sprues, but if a model had more configurations out-of-the-box it could justify a slightly higher price (or some of the already high prices) with less inclination to have to hunt down or make proxies.

I should stop now before this turns into a full on rant…

Sadly that's actually PAST 40K products you're thinking of rather than future ones...

I think I created a whole thread to discuss this.

i wouldn’t call it serious surgery for most things. Just more than simply gluing parts from a different kit to a model.
