Hey folks, unfortunately I committed more than I was capable of accomplishing :( Here is my progress so far for my pledge of 20x death riders, 10x Krieg engineers and 20x Krieg infantry.

A Call to Arms Finished Vows

Thanks for running this event @Dr_Ruminahui

Really helped motivate me over the last few months.

And 20x Krieg Death Riders

@Dr_Ruminahui Thank you for organizing this event! I haven’t painted a 40k army in over 5 years so this was the perfect way to motivate me and get me back in the hobby.

CALL TO ARMS 2025 IS NOW OVER!

(or at least the painting and submitting portion)

ANY VOW COMPLETIONS POSTED AFTER THIS POINT WILL NOT BE COUNTED AS COMPLETED.

That said, please continue posting in the Stronghold and sharing pictures of your models.  I will post further tomorrow after I record the final week of the event.

THANK YOU ALL FOR PARTICIPATING

Reporting Page updated - please review to ensure your entry is correct (subfaction, link, models vowed, point value, entry into Master of the Forge).  If you completed your vows, please double check to confirm that I have correctly noted such - and IF I HAVE MISSED A COMPLETION, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

My next steps are to double check my math, do the number crunching, and determine (through a vote among the forum "staff") the contestants for Imperium Stronghold Artificer badge.  To facilitate that, please post your best picture of your favorite painted model or unit that you did for the Imperium Stronghold in this Call to Arms - it will make my job much easier.

Additionally, if you have a Master of the Forge entry, please post your best picture of it as well.

Finally, if you haven't done so already, please post a "group shot" of all your completed models, whether or not you managed to complete your vow.

This was my favourite model I painted, I especially like the hoofs and the serial number on the horse with the red coloured bits. It’s not the best job as there are some details that look a bit messy, but overall I’m happy how it turned out.

My stronghold pick is this bloke:

Such a great callback to the old missionaries without being a pure retread... The Sanctifiers kit was just a tonne of fun.

Also here's my event summary photo:

"Deep in the Ghoul Stars, as nobility of the Deepvoid Corsairs command their Ulthwé allies, thrallbeasts and Galberkin mercenaries to cleanse a Maiden World of Inquisitor Dartorian's motley crusaders, The Bound Prince Krungkor and his vassal Weaselbound rend the ethereal veil to revel in the slaughter of all."

Thanks for a great event, all!

Cheers,

The Good Doctor.

I'm setting a deadline of the end of the day Friday for extra pictures, as I intend to put together the candidates for voting next weekend.  So, in order to give your models the best chance in the voting, please post the best picture you can of your favorite model (if you haven't already - if you have, thank you) by the end of the week.  Note, if you don't provide new pictures, you are still in the running - I'll just be making my decisions based on the photos already posted, but that may prevent me from selecting models/units whose pictures doesn't focus on that particular model or unit.

Thank you to everyone who provided me with additional photos - they were all much appreciated.

I have now set up polls with all my semi-finalistis in the Admin/Mods subforum for them to vote on to determine the top 3 to run off for Stronghold Artificer.  That process should be done next weekend, at which point I will put up polls in the WIP subforum for general membership voting.   I will obviously post links here when that happens.

Good luck to the many talented artists whose models are in the running.

Call to Arms 2025 Imperium Stronghold Summary

First of all, thank you to the newcomers and returning members who participated in the 2025 Call to Arms, whether or not you completed your Vows, you have all made the event the success it has been. Between the five Strongholds, we all painted 3,028 points of MODELS, which is an OUTSTANDING result by any metric.

Second, I apologize for my delay in posting the final summaries - I had started to them fairly promptly, belatedly realized that I didn't have all the badges I needed, and by the time I did my life had gotten incredibly busy and stressful.  So I'm sorry for all those who have been waiting.

Third, thank you all to those who extended their thanks and appreciation through out the event.  I know I'm not very good at responding or acknowledging such, tending to brush it aside and focus on the matters at hand.  Anyway, I wanted to let you know that it is appreciated, so thank you and you're welcome.

Fourth, a big thank you to @Grotsmasha, for all the fantastic art used in the announcement posts and badges, his advice on things like point costs for models, and all of his past work creating the rules and framework for the event with the first and previous Call to Arms.

So, how did the Imperium Forums and Stronghold perform throughout the Event?

Total Points Vowed:  214.5

Total Points Completed: 198.5

Completion Ratio (Points):  92.54%

Number of Participants: 7

Number of Participants who completed all vows: 6

Completion Ratio (Participants): 85.71%

Despite being hived off from Astartes this year and having the lowest number of participants of any faction, the Imperium Stronghold was able to punch over its weight and achieved the highest points completion ratio of all the Strongholds.

Astra Millitarum - Participants vs Completed: 3/2 (66.67%), Pledged: 126 pts vs Completed: 110 pts  - 87.30% Completion

It says something about the overall Stronghold completion level when the sub faction in the Stronghold with the lowest completion percentage still beats out all the other Stronghold completion percentages.  Despite their one failed vow, they were still successful in completing the most points for the Stronghold, earning the Astra Millitarum participants the right to the Champion of the Horde Badge.

large.ChampionsoftheHordeAstraMilitarum.

Imperial Knights - Participants vs Completed: 1/1 (100%), Pledged: 6 pts vs Completed: 6 pts  -  100% Completion

The smallest vowed points for any of the Imperium sub factions with participants, it somewhat humorously (to me) contained no actual knights.  That said, the 100% completion rate earns its 1 participant the right to wear the Champion of the Call Badge.

large.ChampionsoftheCallKights.png.8af1c

Imperium of Mankind - Participants vs Completed: 2/2 (100%), Pledged: 37.5 pts vs Completed: 37.5 pts  -  100% Completion

With an eclectic combination of models, both participants of this faction competed their vows and earned the right to bare the Champions of the Call Badge.

large.ChampionsoftheCallIoM.png.d11a0040

Death Watch - Participants vs Completed: 1/1 (100%), Pledged: 45 pts vs Completed: 45 pts  -  100% Completion

This year's one Death Watch participant decided to paint his models for the Imperial Stronghold this year (this was the one sub faction that could contribute to 2 different strongholds, the other being Astartes), and managing to complete his 2 vows earned himself the right to the Imperium Champion of the Call Badge.

As with most Events, there are of course Badges for Individual Achievements within the Stronghold,

Starting with those who did not Complete their Vows, the Servitor Badge, these Participants are honour-bound to bear this Badge until years end.

compete in all the strongholds!

And I'll do it again!

Next year I'll be sure to assign at least one Heresy mini to that stronghold for the pure badge greed of it all - my 'xeno-thallax' could have technically been '30k Imperial Fists' I guess, but I did want that Warrior badge more than the fifth 'complete'.

Cheers,

The Good Doctor.
