Touching up the black primercoat with Abbadon Black basecoat

 

Something was wrong with my black rattle can primer and any paint added on immediately beaded up. So I had to add another coat of black onto the primer. In over 3 decades of using rattle can primer, I've never seen that happen. Oh well.

I've made some progress as well - my first model done of this year's CtA, and my first post-codex EC model!  Still needs to be based, though - I'll do that when I finish my vow, as its easier to base them in batches.

 

 

I'm pretty happy with him - though I must say he is the most obnoxiously bright model I've ever done, which works pretty well for EC, I think.  

 

Now just 12 more and a rhino to go....

Still need to get a few small details and decals put on, but I'm pretty happy with these. Hopefully I can translate this to my Banehammer

Thanks!  Yes, it is, but not a huge one - its the 30K EC tartaros praetor with a gun swap (from the new noise marines) with the speaker from the chaos vehicle accessory sprue mounted on the back with a bit of plasticard tubing to get it at the right height and angle.  Makes for a pretty good Lord Kakophonist, I think, especially since the GW model is perpetually out of stock and pretty ugly as well.

 

Your vehicles are coming along nicely - I look forward to seeing what you do with them.

The two Abhorrent and lancer are all subassembled, magnetized, and primed. I didn't get a pic in that state so here's the lancer posing

@nusphigor, that vow looks fine.  I have it down as 48 points.  You didn't give a subfaction, so I put it under Demons as that seemed the best fit - let me know if you want me to move it.

Trying a bit of freehanding. Im going for a Tzeentch symbol but I think it looks more like a horned head. Which is fine since I have a ton of Beastman, and I like it as is and would be more worried about screwing it up trying to fix it

I did manage to transfer 3 Duncan Rhodes paints into my dropper bottles though. Great paints, awful bottles. Simply awful.

Trying to figure out how many points my converted krios should be, and I think it's between a sicaran and a land raider in size, but I don't actually have either of those kits near me, so if anyone could do a comparison (particularly to the Sicaran), I'd be super grateful.

Minicompare.info shows them at the following scale:

 

The Krios looks to be slightly longer overall profile than the Sicaran thanks to the longer barrel on the turret (around 1.5-2cm longer) but the hulls are basically the same length, and height wise the Krios is barely taller (around 3mm taller) than the Sicaran.
