Did some more work on the Crozius! Almost done with it but I think I'm going to try doing some glowing eyes at least, and I'd like to attempt a bit of OSL along the same axis as the ghosts down the weapon/arms/shoulder pad.

Love the red glow on the eyes of the spirit skulls, @Volgon and your completed big Lancey boy is fantastic, @Boc - I wasn't really sold on the various bits and stuff used when it was unpainted, but the paint job has really pulled it together and made for a really great model.  Did you manage to get the "Gulliman sucks" sloganning onto it anywhere? 

 

Anyway, got some more violently purple marines done - finished my first 5 infractors and am pretty happy with them.  They obviously still need to be based (will do my entire vow together at the end), and I may go back and highlight their armour and trim once I work out if/how I want to do that, but otherwise they are done.

 

 

I'm now painting the second of the squad, who are the same except their cape symbols will be facing the other direction.  I'm about 1/2 a week behind where I want to be to get my vow done on time, which is fine provided I don't slip much farther behind.

More work done! Knocked out some smaller details, as well as completing the robe and added some OSL to the crozius. Very happy with the robe; it was one of those rare cases where I had an idea and it worked out basically perfectly.

Gonna stay slow this week since you can see behind him that I also flocked the remaining Daemons such that my Skarbrand list can hit the ground running: 10 doggos + Karanak (he shall return!) + a few other odds and ends. The Daemons are from over 10 years ago, and never got properly based...

It is a bit unclearly worded, but having it also allow units makes more sense to me.  I'll amend your entry on the reporting page.  They are all in the group photo, so I don't need another one.

Began working on some of the blue armor, mostly done on these pieces except I think I'll try smoothing the blend on the chestplate and forearm panel a bit more. Very happy overall though!

I think the two guys on the ends have to much red for my liking. It was only supposed to be a secondary color and I think it detracts from the blue too much.

@sitnam I can see what you mean re: the red, I still think they look good though! Especially the guy on the far right. I'd be hesitant to repaint it myself as from the photo it looks really nice! Maybe you can go with a lore justification for certain cultists wearing more red than blue?

Oh I like the way they came out, I just think i verdid it. But hey, they are cultists, part of the allure is they don't need to be uniform. I just wish GW never removed the ranged loadouts for cultists

@Teetengee I've reviewed your vow and unfortunately I have to bump you down a few points.  Your claw lord on cyber rat isn't as bid as Lord Invocatus, and is instead about the same size as a marine character on a bike, so only 5 (rather than 10) points.  As for your gun teams, are you pointing them as 1 for the gun and 1 for the rat?  If so, that sounds right - if you are valueing the guns alone at 2 pnts, they should only be 1 as they are basically terminator sized, which are 1.  So I've put you down for 111 pnts.  BTW, is the big spiked ball part of the vow?  I didn't see anything there that I could attribute it to.

1 for gun, 1 for rat, so 2 per team. So 111 is correct! And noted on the clawlord; I didn't realize we still had bikerlords, so I went for the only cavalry character I knew of.

(The spiked ball is not part of the vow, that's just my purse)
