And with that, my vow is complete. 8 Ironhead Squats, 1 Sagitaur, and an Einhyr Champion, based and ready!

Thank the Votann I'm done and have no plans for a second pledge later this week, right?

...right?

Update from me - a little behind where I wanted to be (haven't yet started the bases, which'll be time consuming adding Martian Ironcrust).

For the Warriors and Scarabs it's just the bases to do, but I've got to do the Nobles' blades. Hoping to have these done by the 15th next month, as I'd like to squeeze in a second vow of Necrons before the event ends:sweat:

I, Silvereyes, heed the Call to Arms and pledge to paint 10 Kroot Carnivores for 10 points for the Glory of the T'au Empire and the Xenos Stronghold on or before 15th September 2025, or bear the badge of failure until year's end.

Recommended this challenge in my introduction thread. I need a bit of a motivation kick to start painting my T'au backlog, and this seems like a good way of doing it. Good luck to everyone else participating.

I, zulu.tango, heed the Call to Arms and pledge to paint 10 vespids and a control drone, totaling 11 points for the glory of the Tau Empire and the Greater Good on or before September 17th, or bear the badge of failure until year's end.

I, YoungWolf7, heed the Call to Arms and pledge to paint the following models for 38 points for the Glory of the Orks subfaction and the Xenos Stronghold on or before 15th September 2025, or bear the badge of failure until year's end.

Vow #2:

  • 1 Jawbreaka (Megatrakk Scrapjet proxy?) [5] ***Master of the Forge Entry***
  • 2 Ork Big Meks w/ Shokk Attack Guns [10]
  • 2 Grot Assistants [2]
  • 1 Ork Painboy [5]
  • 1 Grot Orderly [1]
  • 3 Weirdboys [15]
  • [38 points total]

Jawbreaka doesn't really fit into proxying any predefined Ork model. Closest thing would really be a Battlewagon/Gunwagon, but it's on the same size base as a buggy. Buggies are all 5 points, the Battlewagon is listed as 6. I'm not going to quibble over a single point.

Reporting Page updated - please review to ensure your entry is correct (subfaction, link, models vowed, point value, entry into Master of the Forge).

Wow, lots of completions this week in Xenos.  Also good to see the revows.

@Bouargh

1.  Can you please put in your completion post photos of all the completed models, either together or separately?  You'll want to include the best close up you have of your Master of the Forge entry.

2.  You only get one Master of the Forge Entry per stronghold - do you want it to be your Archon or your Autarch?

3.  Tokens are only .5 pnts each, so I have your vow down as 38 pnts rather than 39.

@zulu.tango

1.  You have to chose one subforum for all your vows, even if the models you are painting aren't for that subforum (its basically just the subforum you are representing for this event) - see my explanation here.  So, your orks and tau need to be pledged to the same subforum.  I currently have everything under orks, but let me know if you want to vow everything to Tau instead or a different subforum.

2.  Is the vespid controller a "model" in game terms, or just a token that indicates some rule is in effect or available?

@YoungWolf7 - 5 sounds fine for the jawbreaker, but if you want to share a picture of it next to a battlewagon I can consider if it should be 6 instead.  For now, I have it as 5.

@Dr_Ruminahui The closest things I have to compare it to are a modified 6x6 Battlewagon and a Megatrakk proxy. Like I said, I'm not stressed about it. It is a lot of work for a 5 point model though. ;)

1. Just posted pics there: https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385867-event-call-to-arms-2025-drukhari/?do=findComment&comment=6124830

2. I will in that case keep the Archon.

3. Noted. I missed that.

Thanks, @Bouargh.  By the end of the event, could you get a good picture of the MotF Archon on her own?  That puts you in the base place to show it off for the voting.  Your dark elves look great for a bunch of degenerate pointy ears (spoken as a collector and painter of degenerate round ears :biggrin:).
