@Dwango - Yes, I can add your techmarine for you, but you do only get one model (or unit for group conversions) per stronghold, so if you think you would rather vow the infernus then I won't.  That said, if the infernus is something that would be at home in the chaos stronghold, you could vow it as a MotF there.

Ah, that would work. I'll look to do that. Cheers.

I, Lautrec the Embraced, heed the Call to Arms and pledge to paint 10 Word Bearers Tacticals for 10pts for the Glory of the Warmaster and the Heresy Stronghold on or before 15th September 2025, or bear the badge of failure until year's end.

I want to give them to a friend. Gotta paint them quickly, I need to have them ready in just a couple days. As discussed with Dr_Ruminahui, I am cleared to enter this vow as Job's a Big One under special provisons

Vow complete. I've worked in a bit of overdrive but the squad is now ready to spread the Word (of Legion atrocities)20250715_133728-min-min.thumb.jpg.133e960135e19684e87cda36f00d18b3.jpg

WE ARE NOW 1 MONTH (and 1/3 of the way) INTO THE EVENT

THERE ARE NOW 2 MONTHS REMAINING

As a reminder, all vows must be completed on or before September 15, 2025.

Reporting Page updated - please review to ensure your entry is correct (subfaction, link, models vowed, point value, entry into Master of the Forge).

For transparency, even though @Lautrec the Embraced had an incomplete vow, I permitted his second vow of 10 tactical marines as a Job's a Big One vow.  Although they weren't a single model worth 10 points, the vow was worth that much and he needed to do them on an expedited basis to give them as a gift to a friend and I didn't feel any unfairness was created to other participants by permitting the vow to be used in this manner.

"I, Deus Ex Machina, heed the Call to Arms and pledge to paint 10 rotor cannon gunners, a praevian and two apothecaries for 25 pts for the Glory of the Iron Hands and the Heresy Stronghold on or before September 15th, or bear the badge of failure until year's end."

Warmaster is the current underdog - both in terms of vowed points (582 vs 680) and completed vows (10 pnts v 19 pnts).  That said, with the insane vows in this forum, one failed vow could throw the event to the other side.

30K_IH_#10_Rotor_Cannon_squad has been finished today:

https://ibb.co/album/7YcQDj

Only the two apthecaries and the praevian need to be done to finish my second vow of this challenge.

I'm a bit late to the game this year but with the new boxed set in hand I am ready:

I, time_of_flight, head the Call to Arms and pledge to paint 3 Dark Angel Saturnine Terminators for 3 pts for the Glory of the Emperor, the Imperium of Mankind, Heresy Stronghold, and in defiance of the Warmaster on or before 15th September 2025, or bear the badge of failure until the end of the year.

Meet the Officer cadre:

20250802_202039-min-min.thumb.jpg.247e00b02bb46fc88fc69a2814dbfdaa.jpg

the Faceless - Nakrid Thole, equipped with a high-voltage flay whip and a black power axe called Devil's Due.  May act as an Overseer consul,
the Coward - Kheron Ophion of the Kyroptera, Captain of the 39th Company. Unusually brave and stubborn. His battle-damaged and rusted shield, Bloody Aegis, is forged from the wrecked hull of his first ship,

and finally a yet unnamed Jump Captain, I needed someone to lead Raptors/Assault squads, might become a Centurion or a Master of Descent.

These guys may act as Despoilers/Veterans/Command Squad/Sarges etc, plenty of magnetized weapons to choose from (chainswords not in pic)

And finally the Terminator squad, displaying a vast array of weapons and trophies taken from the fools who dared oppose them on Terra

Very happy with how they turned out, clearly traitorous, grisly and sinister but not "chaos" like Chaos terminators from 40k. I know most their bolters aren't really heresy-appropriate - converting them from 40k already required quite a lot of work with erasing all aquillas, crux terminatus, adding chains, skin, trophies etc...

-  STATE OF THE EVENT -

WE ARE NOW 1/2 WAY DONE (as of August 1)

Half way into the event, and its time for some more stats!  Since the 2 week mark, we have 9 new participants (total of 69) and are up 25 vows (to 96), and have inceased our vowed points by 660.5 (to 3,752).  We are also doubled our Master of the Forge entries (to 10) and still have no Young Bloods.  If you think I have missed anything or anyone, please let me know here or by message.

Leading stronghold in vowed points is still heresy at 1270 (which is up 103 pnts).  They also still have to 2 highest strongest subfactions in terms of vowed points - For the Emperor at 709 (up 93) and For the Warmaster at 582 (up 10).

Although its still anybody's game (such that it isn't particularly meaningful at this point), the Imperium still has the highest completion rate of 32.06% of pledged points completed, though Xenos is close on its heels at 31.56%.  The other 3 are far behind at 15.83% (Astartes), 7.01% (Chaos) and Heresy in the rear with 4.96%).  In terms of raw points of completed vows (rather than %), Xenos is in the lead with 287, followed by Astartes at 103 and the rest still in the double digit - 67 for Imperium, 63 for Heresy and Chaos at the tail with 50.

Deathwatch in the Imperium forum is still the only subforum with a 100% completion rate.

@Antarius still has the most completed points, having completed 3 vows in two strongholds worth 174 pnts (up 61 points and 1 vow from the 2 week point).  In terms of vote diverstity, however, @Dr. Clock is in the lead, with vows in 4 of the 5 Strongholds - the next closest are the 10 members with vows in 2 strongholds.  Highest total vows is still @SgtSharp, with his massive vow of 419 for the Emperor in the Heresy forum, followed by, in the same stronghold, by 365 for the Warmaster from @GodEmperorOfMankind.

All the subfactions have persons vowing their models to them, except Genestealer Cultists, Adepta Sorroritas, Adeptus Mechanicus and Imperial Knights.

Is great to see all the fantastic models being painted, and I look forward to seeing what all comes out by my next update a month from now!

Better late than never, maybe.

I, Mandragola, heed the Call to Arms and pledge to paint a Saturnine dreadnought for 30k (currently undercoated) and for LI: four Leviathan dreadnoughts (built) for 4 points, eight =]REDACTED[= for 8 points, four =]REDACTED[= for 8 points and one =]REDACTED[= for 3 points (all unbuilt in a box) for 26 pts for the Glory of the Emperor and the Heresy Stronghold on or before 15th September 2025, or bear the badge of failure until year's end.

What’s in the box? I can’t say, Brothers.

Love that the four LI dreadnoughts are worth more than the big guy.

@Mandragola - I'm trying to work out how you came to your points, as I have you higher.  What are you valuing the LI Kratos at, and how does it compare in size to the LI baneblade and rhinos?  Its valued the same as a baneblade (3) in LI points list, and I'm trying to figure out whether that is appropriate.  I have you listed at 30 for now, but we can adjust accordingly.  As well, if you could post pics of your other vowed models, even if they are unbuilt sprues - unfortunately, a random blank box doesn't cut it.

Ahh sorry. It would be more accurate to describe those tanks as equivalent to Spartans than Kratos. I thought those would be priced the same. 26 points is correct.

These (apart from the Dreadnoughts) are models that haven't been released yet that I'm painting for review so I'm not able to show pictures I'm afraid. I did the same last year with Call to Arms but if you'd rather I didn't then I do a 7 point vow. Sorry to be a pain, and thanks for running this either way.

@Mandragola - thanks for the clarification, I'll put you at 27 - the Saturnine is considerably bigger than the Leviathan, so I think it should be worth 4 rather than 3 points (even at the expense of no longer being outweighed by the 4 mini dreads).

For transparency, Mandragola has been given several new prerelease models to paint, and has vowed them as part of CtA.  Due to the agreement he made that allowed him to receive them, he is unable to show those models or tell what they are prior to their official reveal.  So, CtA is allowing him to vow them secretly, and provide proof of their unpainted status after the fact.  Keep an eye on this thread, as I suspect we're going to be seeing something cool.
