Progress to report on my vow, as time runs extremely short!

 

 

All my Legions Imperialis stuff is now painted. There are parts I might go back to at some point, particularly with a few transfers perhaps, but they’re comfortably battle ready. 
 

Which just leaves a Saturnine dreadnought. I’ve made a start.  We’ve got ages, right?

Congratulations to all who have participated - whether having already finished vows, if you will finish, AND to those who didn’t meet their personal objectives for whatever reasons. I am constantly amazed at the quality, quantity, and diversity in these events. I’ve always found inspiring examples and lessons to learn from during these events.  This would not be possible without the participation!

 

Personally, I will fail my vow but I’m happy with the progress I made. This was a good kickstart to get me started on a new army for HH 3 and hopefully the (slow) momentum is something I can maintain. There are several reasons why I won’t finish that I’ll need to think through before joining another painting event.

 

I’ll end this with a special thanks to Dr_Ruminahui for organizing this! I’m sure I under appreciate the level of effort needed to make this possible.

I need to paint a few details on two of my rhinos. In approximately two hours they should be ready. The third rhino won´t have weathering as I had little time on the weekend although this won´t be an issue for the challenge.

"Completed" means to a table top standard you are comfortable with, so if that means no weathering, that's fine.

Sadly we're approaching 11pm my time, and whilst there is still 8hrs of potential painting, I have to drive to the airport in the morning.

 

I have to officially forfeit the challenge,  and fail my vow. My apologies to the heresy stronghold. 

 

That said, considering mid week last week my vow looked like this:

This is my Saturnine Dread battle ready, and my vow complete. 
 

 

Id quite like to experiment with some freehand on the shoulders in future. Till then I’m leaving transfers off. I’ve fielded a lot worse though and I’m pretty happy with how the armour looks.

I am finished, can't really set up a proper photo set of them at this hour as i really need to go to sleep, so have this set of temp pics for now, i will edit in better pics later and spoiler these when i do but for now, these should have all the models not already shown as completed, i think, all i know is that i've done everything

That said, please continue posting in the Stronghold and sharing pictures of your models.  I will post further tomorrow after I record the final week of the event.

Congratulations all, some excellent results! Even if you didn't complete your vows, hopefully you managed to slay some grey! 

 

Thank you @Dr_Ruminahuifor running the event. Apologies for all the late vows. I wasn't as organised as I have been in previous years. I put it down to a new 3d printer and general lethargy.

As always happens, soon after making my vow I changed my list for the GHO doubles, meaning I didn’t need the Saturnine dread I’d pledged. Instead I painted up a land raider and gave my Librarian a new axe - his third weapon after a staff and sword. I also did some work on my Praetor’s jump pack. I’m much happier with it, though he still looks too heavy to fly. 

 

Shame these won’t contribute to anything, but I’m glad to have them done.

Reporting Page updated - please review to ensure your entry is correct (Completion, subfaction, link, models vowed, point value, entry into Master of the Forge).  If you completed your vows, please double check to confirm that I have correctly noted such - and IF I HAVE MISSED A COMPLETION, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

 

My nexts step are to double check my math, do the number crunching, and determine (through a vote among the forum "staff") the contestants for Heresy Stronghold Artificer badge.  To facilitate that, please post your best picture of your favorite painted model or unit that you did for the Heresy Stronghold in this Call to Arms - it will make my job much easier. 

 

Additionally, if you have a Master of the Forge entry, please post your best picture of it as well.

 

Finally, if you haven't done so already, please post a "group shot" of all your completed models, whether or not you managed to complete your vow.

Full army shot. I've not included the random terrain as it's gone off to my flgs. But the board and troops etc are there. I have the SoH next on my painting list. Sadly I ran out of time to vow them for the CtA.
