July marks independence/treason (depending on how you look at it ), so we're going to use that for our theme.

 

Banners submitted for this month should have imagery that evokes the theme of independence from the yoke of tyranny, whether that tyranny is the oppressive Imperium of Mankind or the stifling Paths of the Asuryani. That's right - we're looking for so-called "traitors" and "renegades" (such ugly words for those who simply want freedom) - Heretic Astartes, Chaos cultists/Lost and the Damned/Slaves to Darkness, Chaos Knights, traitor Titans, Drukhari, and Anhrathe (Aeldari corsairs). While the traitor imagery should dominate the banner, "B&C" or "Bolter & Chainsword" or "Bolter and Chainsword" or the B&C logo (or a derivation thereof) should also show clearly in the image.

 

As usual, please submit your image(s) to this album (and feel free to post them here, too).

 

The deadline for submissions is Monday, June 23 (i.e., whenever I log in on Tuesday, June 24), after which time the community will vote and the selected banner will appear in the rotation through August, 2025.

I realize that the deadline has passed, but I see that no one else has submitted anything so I figured I'd see if this passes muster. I don't have any Chaos Space Marines painted up, and I'm not satisfied with the quality of my Anhrathe, so this one is mostly text. I figured it fit the theme enough to work, though.

D'oh! This totally slipped past me this morning.

 

Despite coming in after the stated deadline, since @Ioldanach's image is otherwise fully eligible and is the only submission for this month, it is winner by default. Congratulations to Ioldanach for his second winning site banner submission.

 

If I'm not mistaken, the font used for the main title text is strongly reminiscent of the font used in a well-known historical document pertaining to independence/treason. Is that correct? If so, well played.
