 Overview of the Sub-Event

 

Welcome to the Call to Arms 25: Angels of Death Event!

 

This year with the ASTARTES gaining their own Stronghold within the Call to Arms, @Jolemai and @Grotsmasha are running a sub-event, and are inviting all members of the I^st and IX^th Legions to face off against one another in order to claim a first victory within the ASTARTES Stronghold.

 Rules of the Sub-Event

 

Duration

As per the Call to Arms 25 parent event, it run from the 15^th June through to the 15^th September.

 

Entry Requirements

As a supplementary event to the Call to Arms, you'll need to first participate in the Call to Arms Astartes or Heresy Strongholds before being able to pledge here. Therefore, models need to be appropriate for the parent event to be valid for this.

 

This event will follow all rules associated with the Call to Arms event with regards to vows, re-vows, durations, and so on.

 

Victory Conditions

The victors will be decided by the points earned in the Astares and Heresy Strongholds themselves in additional to any points earned for completing the Oaths below. You may simply quote your Vows and Completions from the Call to Arms Strongholds here in the Blood Angels Event Thread.

 

Blood Angels Oaths

Additionally, there are a few Oaths / Badges unique to the Angels of Death Event, with which you may earn additional points within this Event (Note, these points WILL NOT count towards Call to Arms Stronghold totals).

 

Oaths for the Chapters of the 41st Millennium;

• Retro (5pts) - Paint any model shown in Codex: Angels of Death, in the retro paint scheme
• Chapter Ancient (5pts)- paint an Ancient with a sculpted Banner
• Honoured Fallen (5pts) - paint a named Character that is no longer in the Codex (Tycho, Naaman, etc)
• Chapter Command (5pts) - paint any current Named Character in the Codex
• Primarisized (10pts) - paint a kitbash/conversion of a Primaris scaled model that has not, or will not receive a Primaris model (Seth, Ezekiel, etc)

 

Oaths for the Legionnaires of the Horus Heresy;

• Legionnaire (5pts) - paint any full strength Legionnaire Squad
• Honoured Fallen (5pts) - paint a Dreadnaught of any type
• Legion Command (5pts)- paint any current Named Character 
• Archeotech (5pts) - paint a model with technology / weaponry not available in the 41st Millennium
• Gene-Sire (10pts) - Paint the Legion Primarch

 FAQs

 

The following FAQs will hopefully answer any question you may have. That said, feel free to PM me or reply below if you have something not covered here:

 

Q- If I have models with different coloured heads or shoulder pads, can they be primed different colours IE. Black templars or Eldar Guardians?

A- Yes, this is acceptable

 

Q- I want to paint Traitor Guard, is there a way to pledge them to Chaos?

A- Yes, for the purposes of Traitor Guard, the Astra Militarum units may be pledged to Chaos. The Realm of Chaos is the most appropriate forum

 

Q- Are 3D prints allowed?

A- Yes, as long as they are board appropriate, 3D prints can be pledged to the Call to Arms. Use the points associated with the unit they represent
