I know WHQ doesn't fall within this boards remit, but I found it interesting that such a long OOP game got an airing on the official subscribing platform of GW

There's been no (to my knowledge) hints as to a WHQ95 revisit, so it's basically a 30 year retrospective, and they are going to do 3 episodes, which is really cool, but kinda out of the blue?

They could have had anywhere from a sentence to an 8 page spread in white dwarf about it, or not even mentioned it at all, but have instead put it on their TV platform.

This seems like something that they didn't need to do and no one would have asked for it, but I loved it. Hopefully see similar with Space Hulk or Gorkamorka when their anniversaries hit.

I think Space Hulk is eventually going to get either a reissue or a remake. It's one of their most iconic and succesful board games, after all (not to mention the obvious crossover sales potential, as the models are directly portable into Warhammer 40.000).

GorkaMorka, while one of their least succesful games that almost ruined the whole specialist games concept (before the SGS was even a thing), might also see a rerelease or redo, as it has a stronger community interest now than it did back in the day. Even if they don't want to go back to the hot stove, I think GorkaMorka is (sadly) still more likely than a straight up WHQ 95 rerelease, as they lost all the files for it at some point (I think it was when they were moving studio or something like that, but I'm not sure). It's a shame because it really was a magnificent game! I even played it last weekend

The WH+ team have previously put out programmes on Cursed City and Blackstone Fortress as well as doing retro or themed battle reports such as Battle for the Farm so I wouldn't read too much into it. They are trying to broaden the content of WH+ and this is one way of doing it.

I've not watched the WHQ episode yet. We (Junior and I) really enjoyed the Cursed City playthrough and I went and bought Blackstone Fortress. They then did a BSF playthrough and it was nowhere near as engaging to watch.

I'm hoping it might be more fun to actually play one day as it really put Junior off the game!

As for Space Hulk, what a game! I've not played v.2 or v.3 so don't know how much they changed from the original. Of course, they'd tweak it again. There have been nods to it in the past Kill Team releases (Into The Dark missions) and I'm sure it will be an element of a future plan.
