Fire Golem
I’d mostly sworn off limited editions but this is very tempting. Great book, I actually got it slightly early back when it came out because he was at GW in Bath signing copies. The illustrations look great. Vassakov
Oh, that's magnificent. I've never actually read Lords of Silence, it's just eluded me. Might have to keep an eye out for this. 4 minutes ago, Joe said: Now that is a limited edition - that's an instant buy. Maybe I'm huffing some Plague-strength copium, but are we sure this is a limited edition? It's not listed as limited, just "a brand new edition." And the spine and design seems closer to the standard hardback design, especially with the WH40k logo at the top and BL icon at the bottom. skylerboodie 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/386154-the-lords-of-silence-illustrated-and-annotated-edition/#findComment-6117359 Share on other sites

Good question. The article doesn't mention it being limited or numbers of any sort. Fingers crossed because it looks superb. I'm more of an audiobook person these days, but I'll make an exception for something special. This certainly qualifies as that so if I can get it without having to battle a horde of scalpers then even better. Seems to be along the lines of the Xenos annotated and illustrated edition they did a while ago, which was limited but not to the same ridiculously small print run as say the Siege of Terra nonsense. Nice to see it's not a one and done concept and another author gets the special treatment. May pick this up and hopefully we'll see more like it. Ammonius
*Straps on Battle Harness* Well boys, looks like it's one more time into the breach of online purchasing! Yes previous annotated editions have been available from FLGS as well as GW site, so not technically a limited edition - just the usual limited print run for Black Library hardbacks, so still sell out very quickly. Vassakov
Yeah, it's as much the "available through an LGS" as the "normal print run" that's significant here. If you've got a friendly LGS they can usually lock in their orders Monday or Tuesday after the preorder announcement meaning you can hopefully state an interest. And even if not, you're not all swarming one website which is the disaster. Uprising
This is very tempting. Lord of Silence is an amazing book, and my favorite 40k novel that I have ever read. Orange Knight
Very cool. That art echoes the older style we used to get in codex books - really gets the imagination working.
