Two BT character models, Jeremy? That's insane.

Accordingly, their Remorseless Persecution drives the unit they join into a berserk fury, letting them Charge in the same turn as they Advance. This makes a tooled-up squad of Sword Brethren into a terrifying cruise missile of a unit – if missiles were made of blades and hammers – even before factoring in the Execrator’s own fighting skills. If you opt to leave the pyre pistol at home, he can pack a master-crafted power sword in addition to his crozius, giving the mad lad eight two-Damage attacks every time he fights.

I am pleasantly surprised because I wasnt expecting BT to get two new characters. I like the model, the new armor loooks really cool with the gorget and more medieval aesthetic, the worst art is the skull helmet sadly as it seems GW rarely makes a good looking chaplain helmet but I do love that it has options so you can grab some of those extra bits and make your own chaplains with some creativity.

Advance and Charge on demand? Black Tide just got a bit more deadly, 4x20 crusader squads all running and charging sounds like it would be diabolical IF IT WASNT SO RIGHTEOUS!!

Some nice options here, having a different head for the Crozius like the Terminator Chaplain is very welcomed and the swinging skull will work excellently on any other BT model if you don't use it here. The alternative hood ornament is great too. Really nice model, I really appreciate the less ostentatious look compared to the Chaplain from Indomitus which is a fantastic model too but I like having models with different vibes available, just wish you could get the other Chaplain on his own.

Looks like he would be easy enough to add in to any other chapter, just by switching the shoulder pads, using the pistol or skull hand, and the iron halo on the backpack. Theres not too many BT specific bits on him apart from those.

I mean, it's nice to see Games Workshop actually dipping into the English language a bit more - execrate and excrete are two entirely different words, after all.

Awesome! And didn't Valrak say there's even more to come with the codex?

He said the source referred to it as a "multipart" release meaning more than one kit. This and the Ancient could be it. I feel like in his last rumor video these were the two things he mentioned

Cool model though, reminds me a bit of the Interrogator Chaplain for some reason

It's been a while since I've seen the Jeff Goldblum meme anyway

Is it?  I think they dipped into it enough with the primaris unit names, time to dip out now i think

I also feel that this is a good sign in general for their (very expensive!) characters. Getting a model that has 2 head, 2 crozius, 2 backpack icon and 4 left hand options is a step up from some previous examples since the marine range got a refresh.

I'd be surprised if they had more to show for BT just because if they did, especially if it was a whole unit, you'd think they'd save all this for some kind of preview show.

True but I think most people are surprised there's even a 2nd model after the Ancient so who knows. Still hoping for something in Terminator armour!

Now I feel really bad for the Grey Knights collectors. Black Templars already had their major refresh and now they have not one but two new characters, while GK apparently have to wait til next edition for anything worthwhile.... and WarCom decides to reaffirm this on the same day the unexpected second BT model gets revealed. Insult to injury, that!

I am totally for 'Chaplain but angrier.'

Love the model. Love the options. Love the rules snippet. Looks like my Templars are coming out to play purge this edition after all!

My only fear is he is so useful that it ends up like the Lord Kakophonist and GW can't keep him in stock.
