So I am back online.   Its been several years since I have posted anything and I have lost my original account.    This account was my attempt at reviving myself, but I now can't change the name.   I also don't have Tau anymore so the name doesn't work with tau.    Anyways, I am back and creating a show case of my Ork warband.  I started these guys back Last October.  This is a table top quality army, and designed to be quick to paint with mostly washes and base coats.  I do have a few details with my mechanical optics simply because they don't look good unless you spend a little more time with those.    The best part about orks is i don't have to be perfect when i add the checks and zags.     I also have an Eldar Army that I will get around to sharing some pics in the eldar forum.   They are a Yme-loc force and the reason behind the avatar I chose.   

 

Up first are some models I recently painted for a team double tournament at my local store this weekend.   I am mostly playing them as Deffdread detachment and pairing up with some chaos knights.   There for I had to get these models finished up for the event, but the second mek gun, i ended up dropping the mek guns and tossed in some flash gits for my list.   

Anyways, here is My big mek, a mek gun, and a squad of tank busters.    

 

 

I will also be adding some models that I will be painting for the event.

These are looking great, I especially like the warpaint on the mek. The checkers on his right arm look so good!

So here is a pic of most of the rest of the army that I got painted.  It was enough to field at least 1k worth of orks for most of the small double events that happen at my local store.   

 

 

Shown in that picture is also the first mek gun that I had painted up.   I also painted up some nobz, a unit of flash gits, a trukk, and a unit of kommandos which were the first unit I painted (but still haven't played kill team yet with them).

As for the painting event, here is what I got planned.   

 

Thats the full set of Ork Kill team terrain to finish painting, and then I need to finish painting a battle wagon, converted rockgrinder trukk, a converted admech trukk, and then 2 units of 5 jump pack orks, another unit of flash gits, another 10 lootas, finish up my 3rd unit of gretchin, and a unit of breaka boys so i can get my wrecka team ready to try out some kill team.   Last is an ork warboss.

The war-paint looks really cool, as do those neon ferns on the bases.

Finished up my vow at least.   I haven't really finished anything else like I was planning.   real life got in the way, trying to find employment and spending most of that time looking for new schools to teach at which did not pan out at all this summer.   I did manage to finish the vow at least.   I am working on the battle wagon today as i have a team event on saturday so trying to get that done, and i have started the breakaboyz, but have not finished them, just the two bomb squigs.

These look amazing! Is that warboss a conversion? If so, what parts did you use?
