Been hooked on Warhammer since 2002, sadly couldn't afford a big army back then, so I mainly dabbled into its lore, now that I can, I've barely any time to play - so I'm mostly in it for the modelling, painting and lore. I'm a video broadcast and arts teacher by day and writer (button pusher more like it, haha) by night - currently giving my named Space Marine characters from my homebrew Chapter life in a novel. Glad I can be here, chat about the hobby and learn something new... also, open to discuss the best SDI cables for long distances ;) Cheers! There are a lot of ways to enjoy this hobby, and none of them are any better than any other - the question is simply what's best for you. Lots of folks here who barely play, or don't play at all. Myself, I'm mostly a painter and converter, and only get in maybe 4 games a year. There is a section here for posting articles about DIY factions - you might want to check it out and consider posting about your own. There is currently a painting event on that goes to mid-September called Call to Arms - you might want to check it out and consider getting involved in support of your favourite faction(s).
