firestorm40k
So I'm clearly using the wrong Abominable Intelligence - I put this in: ...and got these back Spoiler ...just... How?? Why?!!? I can *sort of* see how it got the first image (I used the phrase 'Warhammer Art' in my prompt), but for the second (I just put 'turn this picture into an illustration')..?! Knightsword
I would recommend checking out the app Nauk Nauk. Stumbled across it while looking at Gundam stuff. It's app specifically for animating toys and models with AI. N1SB
3 hours ago, firestorm40k said: Certainly @N1SB, please feel free to try - I'm very interested to see your results, thank you in advance! A few missing details, but the thing that cracks me up is that it's using the old Space Crusade Necrons. And there's 1 running away. The one running away is basically me, isn't it. I failed my Ld check or something. Dude looking at me is clearly judging me. But now I join in what Brother Antarius and others pointed out, the AI art...as accurate as it is (which will improve in about a month or two)...is not as interesting as your original photo. You already set up an awesome diorama! This would actually look really good for an '80s RPG, but can't improve on what you actually made. +++ But I can do this in my local store's Crusade campaign games +++ My meta loves Crusade campaigns. And there's always some MVPs, breakout stars, local legends. I could go watch a game and take a photo for the guys while they're concentrating on playing, do AI art for them. You guys know how I love my local meta more than the game itself? I could hang out, take photos of epic moments, like when in I think our 1st 9th ed Crusade a Space Wolf Rune Priest held off a Bloodthirster. AND YES, everyone called it "You Shall Not Pass!" It's quick, it's impromptu, something to put on our Facebook page. It's a fun way to be a Remembrancer for our local meta. I do think that's something guys would appreciate, like their characters getting immortalised. +++ The Big Paradox of AI art in Warhammer (maybe AI art vs. Warhammer) +++ I've said before Warhammer's biggest selling point is that it's an alternate to screens? Like it can tear us away from smartphones, PCs, etc. Well, AI art does bring us back to the screen. Thus Warhammer AI art, as cool as it is especially with conversions maybe, it dilutes it. GW minis, for all their faults like being too expensive, ARE really good. Like during Finecast, maybe AI art can improve. Not now. Or maybe it'd represent Imperial propaganda art, maybe. That'd explain why all Marines appear as Mk VII, like that's just traditionally how painters portray Marines, it's sacrilegious to draw them any other way. But at this point I'm starting to think just trying to reproduce minis into an image is a downgrade (from 3D to 2D, at least). Update - I thought about it, decided to ask Copilot to turn it into a stained glass window. Like an Ecclesiarchal cathedral commemorating this awesome victory over the Necrons...but the artist never actually saw the battle, had to rely on Guardsmen describing a Dreadnought to him: Also, definitely gonna check out that Nauk Nauk app. But what I really love is your conversion tbh, great use of the Redemptor chassis. The broader theme is, I do think this sort of take is what using AI art might actually be useful for, like in-universe art. 42 minutes ago, The Yncarne said: My attempt ended up with parts of other models being added. Spoiler Hope you don't mind me giving your image a go with ChatGPT. I really like this use of AI from a personal use perspective. It's not something I would ever have spent actual money on with a pro, and it's a cool way to add some stuff to my models' head-canon. Can definitely see some fun uses for group crusade, campaign or Necromunda sessions. Issue is of course when people start to use this stuff for commercial purposes which DOES take away from a skilled artist. Sadly it's something that seems increasingly common. firestorm40k, gaurdian31 and N1SB 1 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/386232-running-our-miniature-photos-thru-ai-no-need-to-pay-can-stay-free/page/2/#findComment-6120706 Share on other sites

N1SB
The helmet was interesting, as the Copilot AI expected a turret gunner there, "You Warhammer players like that on your Vehicles, right?" But it was the legs on that 1 side that disturbed me. Happens with every iteration before this, too. But it's a case of, by next month, it could fix things like that by itself.
