Or just make it so they can carry two Heavy Weapons in a 5 man and four in a 10 man.

Not ridiculous enough, I need me a heavy weapons veterans unit for the tactical/assault/devastator trifecta at every stage of a marines career.

I would also settle for veteran devastators in regular power armour; call the rearguard veterans, stuff 'em in gravis, after making sure vanguard are in phobos, to double dip the trifecta  shenanigans.

If the Blood Angels Terminator Captain rumour pans out, I hope it's an updated version of the OG Terminator Captain.

He has had a recent update:

But would be good to see a version in the new scale.

Recent-ish (2016) and only available at store openings... new scale and general release* would be great.

*they'll probably make it an exclusive model for Warhammer+ or something

Because of the protection it offers…?

A terminator box seems unlikely to me, considering 10th launched with a box that was almost completely terminator focused box.

i could see something like

new terminator character.

5 assault terminators.

3 aggressors

5 assault intercessors.

14 models seems like a typical number of models for a marine starter box/CP box

edit

though the terminator box valrak mentions would be great for me. I have no new terminators, and only 4 remaining 3rd Ed push fit/monopole terminators.

Even for space marines, Terminators are extremely popular. So I can for sure see a full Terminator box happen

I would prefer Karlean with the Hammer of Baal:

So…sternguard?

Sternguar are basically veteran tacticals, since they come with 1 special weapon per 5.  This poster is asking for a 4 Heavy Per 5 like a Devastator unit would have.

Although its gravis, so maybe they'd lean towards a 3 man squad if that were to happen, which ruins the fun.  Give me HInt's, but instead of bolt rifles, it's 4 lascannon guys and then a sgt with a pistol and a sword and that'd be cool.

Don’t Dev Centurions kinda scratch that itch? Need a character tho.

They are ugly to be fair though.

That’s fine but rearguard veterans is literally just a synonym for sternguard veterans

No it isn't because "rearguard veterans" as described A) Don't exist and B) Aren't sternguard.  Sternguard are sternguard, I can see why you got mixed up.  They're asking for a new unit that acts as, basically "Sternguard, but Devastator", much how VanVets are "Sternguard, but Assault".

This has all been explained a few times now.

Stern is the rear of a boat.  So stern-guard = rear-guard.

Hopefully they do as good a job with the assaults as they did the normal ones, curious if they're going to change the storm shields. (Since, as iconic as the square ones are, they've been a bit overshadowed by the ones the Dark Angel Termies have, the ones Deathwatch have etc)

My guess is that they'll be a similar shape to the shield the new termie chaplain has. So a cross shape. more square, angular geometry than the deathwing shields

The cross shape fits a Chaplain though. My guess is that the shield will be a completely different shape to the Wolf Guard and Deathwing ones, but I'm sure I'm wrong

its also the same general shape as this shield from the existing assault termie kit:

i think the new assault termies, instead of having mostly smaller square shields and one of these, will instead all have shields akin to the larger one.
