It has been a long time since I have updated and really had no interest outside of Stormtrooper company but outside of Terminators and  Sisters of Battle, tanks are my next favorite thing about 40k.  When it comes to 30k, so much more stuff has me interested. Almost to the point I'm not really into 40k at all. 

 

Horus Heresy Projects:

• XIVth Legion -Death Guard - 9th Company "Reapers of Souls"- On hold, other HH projects taking precedent. 
  • Knight House Makabius- Death Guard Knight House Allies. Stalled with Death Guard Project.
• XIXth Legion- Raven Guard- Multiple Companies- 707th Expeditionary Fleet- In Progress, huge army.
  • Sisters of Silence- Was always planned as Allies for Raven Guard, slowed due to reduction on units (for now) available.
• Legiones Auxilia- Therion Velites-  Was going to be an Allied to Raven Guard but that has spiraled out of control. I want to do my Velites armored Company but I think I will be mechanized vanguard heavy.  I will probably still do it as armored company.
  • XIXth Legion- Allied Raven Guard Recon Company Led by Overseer and Vigilator, consists of sabre tanks, Recon Squads and Mor Dethyan.

Really like the tank customisations! Like you I find them a really fascinating subject, and one thing that has always been missing from official kits is accessories & stowage!

If you look at WW2 (or even modern) tanks they are usually covered in supplies, replacement track pieces/wheels, especially when moving between war zones. So have always found 40k (and 30k) tanks very bare-looking. So really cool to see this sort of thing!

I agree 100% never enough gear on tanks especially Solar Auxilia/ Astra Militarum. Adeptus Astartes and for the most part Adepta Sororitas I get, with the rapid deployment and their tactics would not be loaded with gear. Unless you are Raptors Chapters than Camo and Gear up.  Like I did for this Predator For my Raptors a few years ago

I am planning on gearing up my Solar Auxila Tanks with stowage, sandbags, camo netting, comms, fuel cans, to give them a lived in feel.  I have decided not to do Therion Velites for my Solar Auxilia but doing them as the Tallarn Reborn 

 

 

My Infantry will probably be done up in either grey, tans, browns schemes.

My League game has been delayed until next Friday. 

 

 

Need to do Metallics on Weapons, the bases then washes, highlights, glows, and decals on the assault marines. Centurion needs his base done and decals.
