Thank you! I imagine so too, it was both inspired and constrained by the heldrake wings.

That's an excellent point about the Basilisk, I'll pop that below:

While I'm thinking about it I'm not sure I ever posted my ogryn transport: the idea behind this was that it's a long range arctic patrol and exploration vehicle, refitted to serve with the forces of chaos. It uses the tracks and engine deck of the royal dorn but the rest of the structure is foamed PVC and parts from the bits box.

The basilisk is just "Wow", what parts did you use if I may ask?

Also do I see where the stormraven top turret went on that "Hell Talon"?

I'd call it a Hell Razor or Hell Fang if it were mine, just a.n.other chaos fighter.

Thanks @Gnasher! The hull is from the hydra and the gun is a spare from the krieg artillery, the mount and added superstructure were made from 3mm foamed PVC. Foamed PVC is cracking for scratch building if you've not tried it: it's thick enough for structural work and cuts way easier than plasticard.

Your Chaos flyer's plasticard fu is very strong indeed! I look forward to watching this project progress.

Both of your Jokaero submissions were excellent. When voting I was like, "hmm, do I vote for the very cool assault gun or the impressive Forgefiend." Then I realized both were by you and I stopped stressing about which piece to vote for.

Haha thank you, I absolutely love your Berserker conversion!

Spirit very successfully captured. It looks thoroughly evil-coded. Clearly no-one who flies one of those is batting for team good guys.

And man alive, the basilisk and the mega-transport! I look away for five minutes and miss those? More top-quality stuff. Looking forwoard to seeing what you do next

Not at all a vehicle, but every Human release I like to play "will it traitor guard"; I picked up a unit of the new Cathay miniatures a while ago and kitbashed them with some Krieg engineers, along with some brass etch on the helmets:

I think I'm reasonably happy with them, ideally I'd have used some parts from the blooded box for variety and to make them a bit more ragged but it was a fairly quick project.

Those look great - as for not using blooded bits, I think it makes sense and adds to the overall variety of your army if you have some units that are less ragtag - they can be your elites and/or reinforcements.

They do look great. Shame it's probably too expensive, a whole army of those would look terrific

Yeah definitely agreed, if I had any way of recycling the krieg bodies or otherwise had a bunch of lasgun arms it wouldn't be too bad, but there's a whole load of parts left over which is rarely efficient. It keeps them as an elite outfit as Dr_Ruminahui suggests

If I ever start a white scars army there are conversion parts for days from that one Cathay box though.

I love those Kregthayan engineers! I second  @Dr_Ruminahui, I don't think every traitor guard unit needs to be a mix of Vraksian/Blooded rags and spikes. I do adore the classic imagery of traitor guard, but just like how Astra Militarum comes from a huge variety of cultures, so do their heretical counterparts.

As for the Krieg bodies, maybe combine them with some of the Necromunda upgrade sprues?

Thanks @sitnam! That is a good shout; I know a lot of the necromunda kits use some funky arm joints that make kitbashing with them a bit of a challenge, but I'll definitely have a look and see what I can do. I've ended up with a fair few Krieg bodies from field ordnance and artillery teams so I should probably find something!

I know the Cawdor arms are kind of wonky how they fit since they go under those cowl things the gang has. I think I remember hearing that the Orlock arms worked well with older Cadians, not sure about the new infantry. Ebay might be another good bits source, I used that to get Novitiate autoguns to smash together with some Navy Breachers for my Traitor Guard. I cant imagine any human arm swaps being more of a pain then getting those kits to fit together

Oh man I can imagine that struggle, I used those navy breacher torsos with flagellant arms for my HH militia cavalry and that was suffering enough!
