Is the Steeljack not just the Ironkin equivalent to the Cthonian Berserks?

They're both heavily modified from their "original" form for a very specific purpose.

 

Also, could the Steeljacks not just be Ironkyn who went up to their Votann and demanded harder battles and a body to fight them with?

So, any guesses on when the new Votann launch hits? The original launch tracker had us between the Salamanders and the Iron Fists, but I don't know if they'll follow that schedule, release all of the SM combat patrols together, or if they'll come after us. Does October/November seem accurate?

Somewhere mid Aug? just guessing and going off of what others have suggested. My Bday is late Aug and so I would not be against that either. 

I want the new codex. 1 box steel jacks and 1 box of mortars to start with. :)

I think mid-August is a little too fast unfortunately. The Black Templars and the Grey Knights are still mid-release, and they'll probably spend a couple of release cycles on AoS and other releases. Still, I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

Supposedly the paperback of High Kahl's Oath is slated for an August 28th release (according to Amazon), so mid-August for pre-order may be on the cards since it would make sense to tie that release in with the codex. Then again, the 28th is a Thursday.

I think it's more the other way around. The Steeljacks are probably closer to original DAOT Men of Iron combat forms, whereas the typical Ironkin are modified to be more appropriate for helping the Kin directly.

I can't see it being much later really as there's still a few other things to come this year so doing it much later would be squeezing in a lot into a small timeframe

That would suit me fine. More time save up money and finish projects before the CD for AoS arrive

I also saw people putting listings on eBay for the new Votann stuff today.

Looks like that youtuber was correct; it's Votann pre-orders next week. I think that Collector's Edition cover is new art too?

I think they meant an army box like what chaos got before and a few others. They don't have a codex in them but they can be good deals (emphasise on the can be)

To clarify yes I was referring to the release boxes containing book / cards that most factions have got this edition when a large amount of new models have accompanied the codex. (Such as tau, emperors children, guard, divergent marine chapters). I think eldar are the only ones who have had a significant wave with no such box until now.
