The Steeljacks look great. I need to see them on the tabletop.

I'm guessing they aren't much bigger than Primaris?

Pretty much

That third pic just tells me they'll need a proper super-heavy for maximum acquisition.

Alleged point leak, in French

Just remember these are basically useless.  They will have their actually starting points up in about 2 weeks from today.

That being said I don't think anything here looks egregious for what the leaks have shown.  Maybe Hearthguard considering they got brutalized.

Grok it?

Steeljacks are well aware of their innate martial talents and train constantly to best utilise the privilege of their position, fighting through holopattern simulations and studying tactical treatises in their spare time.

Nice interesting detail that they (have to?) train and study rather than just being pre-programmed or downloading new skills.

They showed some really excellent artwork yesterday, and I had a 10 minute hmm...:happy:moment. I look at the models they put up today, and despair. Seriously GW don't do it! Such a turn off.

You mean the community painted ones? That's just a realistic depiction of how most minis will look in most cases.

Someone has some reading homework!!  Grok comes from Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land, and it means to come to an understanding intuitively.  So I don't speak any French, but there's enough Warhammer words in there to understand intuitively what is going on.

Great book about a human who was born and raised on Mars by Martians who is sent back to Earth when Earth finally re-establishes contact with the expedition.  He comes back and it's a great "Fish out of water" but also it's by Heinlein, so it's got his style all about it, as well as his politics.  It's very interesting, I think I like it better than Starship Troopers, which is also very good if you haven't read it, and should give some good context into what the 40k authors were originally inspired by.

So far all of these lore dumps have been pretty neat. Still hoping for some more info on the Ghulo Industrial Complex. They were important enough to get their own corporate logo in the first Codex, and now there is even a whole Cthonian detachment in the new Codex... Fingers crossed!

Of course, now the term has been appropriated for an AI, so this knowledge will become increasingly rare in the modern world.

Super annoying - steeljacks got ripped out of my order as I was completing payment. Sold out within 10 minutes in Canada. I just didn't go through with any order as a result. Pretyy serious buzzkill...

Cheers,

The Good Doctor.

Delve Assault detachment now allows for a grand total of 60 Berserks on the field. 1200 points of beserks, 570 points of mortars, Buri for 110, can even fit in two arkanyst evaluators hang out near the berserks for the lone op and provide covering fire.

Complete meme list, and when the points inevitably change on launch day it's useless. I'd give it a shot for the bit though

What are your opinions on the second wave of the Kin? I am delighted. I think I love almost all the new miniatures. However, I am missing still some things:

- A wraith lord/dreaghnougth size creature. The squats of Necromunda have a sort of dreadnought, but I think it will suit a lore more the votann leagues something as a big ironkin.

- A wraith knight/titan size creature. I think the same than the previous one, but maybe like the memnyr, composed of many ironkin brains (too big to be controlled by a single entity). Alternatively, it could be a votann embodiment, but I think this option would be worse.

- More characters (both kin and ironkin). There are many guilds to get ideas. A famous engineer (maybe ironkin), a cthonian miner leader, a specially crazy scientist.

- An underground transport for the miners/bersekers.

- This one is crazy but since the aerovehicles are based on some sort of disks,... it would be very could if you could put a kin leader on top of a single floating disk.... very dwarvish...

- An artillery piece from the scientific guild, like their weapons but bigger...

If you want to see some proxies for a lot of that stuff, check out my thread over in the Votann forum. "Ironkin" dreadnought, mole machine transport, crazy Rules Lawyer character, all sorts of units that Votann do not have yet. Couldn't wait for GW to give us that stuff so I did it myself.

You could also just check out my Votann album for the pics without my color commentary.

And agreed, it would be cool to see what they come up with for the official Votann range!
