Just discovered this and was able to grab one today - https://www.target.com/p/games-workshop-dawn-of-war-onslaught-board-game/-/A-94739548#lnk=sametab

It has a heroes of the chapter sprue ($170) in a $50 box. Only catch is that they seem to be very limited. It was the last one on the shelf when I grabbed it and another guy got there a few seconds after me and asked if it was the last one. We looked around and didn't see any else. The store only started with 4 in stock. When I got up to checkout, the girl literally said "oh, are you the one that keeps calling about this?" Apparently its so hot that even random cashiers know the box by name. I checked stock online and there was nothing left within 100 miles of me.

As a bit of a funny side story, I told her I only wanted the sprue and was going to toss the rest, since I don't care about it (I mean, its Blood Ravens). She asked if I'd give it to her instead. I was surprised and told her its basically just a bunch of cardboard, but she insisted she wanted it. I pulled the sprues and gave her the rest of the game. Maybe it will get her into 40k at some point.

Not sure if this is US only, but it seems to be a Target and Barnes and Nobles exclusive.

According to the Internet (which never lies), there were four on the shelf at my Target this morning. There are no longer any on the shelf. I guess there's no point going now.

In my experience as a Canadian who enlisted a US friend to try to find one of the earlier Target sets, Target stores will say they're in stock and they probably are but they can be scattered all over the store. So he had a lot of trouble finding them until later, when they popped up as available for pick up.  The listings in Des Moines did not, so, I wasn't surprised when he couldn't find them this week. I don't think Target is going to have a single wave of these anyway, I do not believe they make deals with GW without a certain target for volume.

Also fwiw B&N's listing has it at $40, though I have a feeling that will be much lower volume.

That's a damn shame, why do they keep flogging these amazing boxes only to the US?

The obsession GW has with making items like this hard to buy never ceases to amaze me

It'll most likely be because GW will have an agreement/contract/deal in place with Target to sell stuff through them, and it'll most include some kind of exclusivity clause where they have to provide a 'box set' that only Target can sell.

Sucks for us outside the US, but it is easier for us in the UK to see a Warhammer store in the wild to lure us into the hobby. In the US, having these teasers available in places such as Target is a good thing to bring in that 1 new customer who lucked out and found a set that hadn't been snapped up by us ravenous hobbiests!

Pretty much this.

These boxes aren't designed with us hobbyist that are already in the hobby, it's meant to snag a few newbies that don't have access to a regular FLGS or warhammer store. With these sent to all Targets/B&N they could sit for months with no interest to buy from the general public. So why make a ton when you can make say a dozen for each store (which is still a lot overall) and see if you get any bites.

Granted in this day and age, they won't last long as we veteran hobbyist will hunt them to extinction in due time.

You are a scholar and a saint.

Game in the UK briefly had some of the space marine adventures stuff when this was first introduced so I will be keeping an eye out online for this. It'd be nice if it does make its way but I wont be holding my breath. Last time they had the core boxes but only a few and they never had the supplements that had the extra models.

The item just went out of stock on barnes and noble about 5 mins ago at time of posting.  I was in the process of buying 120 of the boxes but was too slow.  O well.

I don’t remember seeing this mentioned, the box comes with data slates for Bllod Raven Chaplian and Judiciar special characters. They each get one extra rule. The Chaplain and his unit can fall back and charge, and the Judiciar and his unit can move 6” when consolidating.

Available to preorder here: https://www.ozziecollectables.com/products/warhammer-40k-dawn-of-war-onslaught?variant=44032949256314&currency=GBP&srsltid=AfmBOooOW1MaH0DSVgReuE9lvKUCoqdN1BYCbdoEPEItwHrdpvCt_XBqtYc

Australia vendor but will ship to UK for £22. I can't justify £60 to add more unpainted plastic to my pile but if anyone really wants it then here you go.

Objectively speaking this boxset is a fantastic deal because it's significantly cheaper than simply buying the models included.

But of course, one has to be Technoarcheologist from the Adeptus Mechanicus to uncover where the set can be obtained.

Are these available to view anywhere?

Apparently the German version (Dawn of War: Der Kampf Geht Weiter) has a release date of 1st September although that's anecdotal, can't find a listing on a German store with a date on it. It's much more financially viable for UK buyers if all you're after is the models - I got the last Combat Arena one (the one with the Ambull) for about 35 Euros including shipping to the UK.
