The Lost Son
Love what the terminator back plate does to them, looks like the original metals before the redesign in 3rd. The green lightning on the blades looks great, but purple could look really cool maybe with a really light purple wash over the silver of the armour or would that stop the effect of the blades? Grotsmasha Posted yesterday at 08:35 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 08:35 AM Finalised the Primarisized Grey Knight test model, The most tedious part of the Terminator conversions is cutting the hip-plates and knee-wing-thingys from the original legs without destroying them, W.A.Rorie 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/386372-primarisized-grey-knights-test-model/page/2/#findComment-6143319 Share on other sites
Brother Christopher Posted yesterday at 09:28 AM Share Posted yesterday at 09:28 AM Looks good. You're ready for GW primarising Grey Knights soon! What's your decision regarding the weapons' colours? Are you sticking to a single colour or per-rank variants? 49 minutes ago, Grotsmasha said: The most tedious part of the Terminator conversions is cutting the hip-plates and knee-wing-thingys from the original legs without destroying them I can only imagine. This kind of work is the worst bit about conversions and the primary reason I've almost given up on doing any. You can always try the 21st route and get some 3D-printed ones or use a 2000s solution and do green stuff casts of the bits you need. I think it's a better and faster solution for the kind of work you need. GS also is quite pliable so easier to clean up. Since this army will ultimately be for sale, I want it to be GW "Legal" (100% GW Plastic), so no 3rd party or 3D printed bits.
