Grimtooth
Couple of questions; 1. Using Dragonforge resin bases; pin models or superglue? 2. This might be my first run of painting models separate from bases; if I superglue do I need to scrap paint off of resin bases like I would with plastic cement? W.A.Rorie
Pin them and then so you can scrape a small area to glue them down with pins. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/386381-resin-bases-attachment/#findComment-6125041 Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
If you pin them, the glue on both halves of the pin will more than secure them together, and there won't be any *need* to scrape the face of the base itself, although doing so will give an even more secure bond. Sky Potato
Don’t overdo the superglue on a painted resin base, you’ll get the frosty effect from the superglue vapours drying. Pinning without scraping paint back is generally fine. Procrastinate
As said so far your best bet is to pin them, I will add that if doing the bases and models seperately its best to dry fit prior to painting to avoid the foot looking like its floating rather than standing on the base (subject to what you've used for basing materials).
