Are you under the belief that the current organic material sitting on the throne is fully formed and just hanging out based on will alone and could get up at any time? We don't know. We know the Emperor was a Perpetual (whether he is still after the mauling Horus gave him is unclear). It is possible that he could allow himself to die and the regenerate or reincarnate. It is also possible he could try ascending again to become the Dark King. Oll is not there to pull him back this time. I remember one of the BL authors once stated that the Emperor remained on the Throne through choice. Remaining anchored to a physical existence was actually a key advantage over the Chaos Gods. Die and be reborn and then rise, or he ascends to a different level and is reborn. In both cases, the Emperor's plan, or foresight, was "in either or any other case, if I get up, kill me." Right now, unless there is some new canon that said otherwise, I was under the impression he is very much a broken husk, shattered mentally, and just enduring ongoing agony on the Throne. The Dark Imperium trilogy implies that the opening of the Great Rift has shocked him back to consciousness (psychically if not physically). Meanwhile Guilliman's return has given him an individual he can focus on. Mortarion and some of the Nurgle daemons comment that the Emperor has become active and is smoothing the Warp ahead of the Indomitus fleets to ease their passage. Plus as the end of Godblight Spoiler The Emperor possess Guilliman and burns down a big chunk of Nurgle's garden. The Emperor directly taking the fight to the Chaos in this fashion is not something we have seen before and goes beyond individual miracles or the Living Saints. The Emperor appears to be trying to actively challenge the Chaos Gods without becoming one in the way we have not seen since the Great Crusade. Reskin
bumping old thread, but I dont care what the writers put in the codex, just like the lame custodes codex. Its not true, I'd rather take the written stuff from an actual author of the genre, as in the novels. I refer to the siege of terra series, where Valdor commissions Basilio Fo, to create a gene virus bomb specifically targeting all astartes during the end stages of the siege. Its referred to the terminus decree, and then Vulcan recieves it from Amon Torimackion the custode. Thats the true terminus decree, it will kill all astartes Edited December 30, 2025 by Grotsmasha =] Removed Problematic Term [= Lathe Biosas and W.A.Rorie 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/386392-terminus-decree-revealed/page/2/#findComment-6148888 Share on other sites

Thats why the community is fighting back about the female custodes, and the as a grey knight fan since the start of my warhammer journey, this new crap is just stupid and dumb, and theres no explanation possible other than these people trying to ruin things. Thats all I can think of. Because both the custodes issue and the GK issue has already been fleshed out, and cannon long before the 10ed codexes were released. So.... take a look at the Witcher series, the writers ignored the author and eventually wrote garbage I wouldnt even piss on. Henry Cavil, did the right thing by trying to keep to the source material, why? because theres many clips of him professing his love for the Witcher universe. And as die hard custodes and 40k fan, he wont make a series with female custodes. Its nonsense. calgar101
I don't think this new reveal in my head doesn't make sense in anyway. Like what would the Grey Knights be able to do? Aside from the Custodes certainly trying to stop them, especially if The Emperor is using his psychic powers, he can control Custodes like he did in the End and Death but also would certainly take over the Grey Knights? Or just devour their souls? I can't really seem to make sense of this at all. Who created this order? The Grey Knights were a last ditch project set up by Malcador in the closing days of the Heresy. We know he sent out a lot of last minute orders so possibly he could have done it. I highly doubt the Emperor created this, he was quite busy as the Heresy came to a close and I think after being put on the throne wasn't really capable of making any edicts. The only thing to me that semi redeem this, is the Dark King was stopped entirely and would come back, so the Emperor knew by trapping himself on the Throne, he'd halt this and hastily made the Terminus Decree without thinking it through. It was better left out as a mystery, with Fo's weapon the actual thing in the box. calgar101
Agreed Reskin. I quite liked the irony of Fo being the creator of the Terminus Decree and it being a weapon to kill all Astartes. Imagine the face of whoever used it to find out it wasn't a magic insta win button but instead killed off the Imperiums mighty Space Marines. The myster should sometimes be left as is. The myster should sometimes be left as is. from what I can recall of the story, Basilio FO was "meant" to code virus to only heretic arstartes, while he was working in Malcador's private lab. And that's what Amon and Vulcan assumed. But, as the author has introduced us to FO long before this event, we know how sneaky and evil he is, so I imagine he didnt do quite what he was asked to, and probably coded it for ALL space marines, both loyal and traitor, because at the end, he tries to escape anyway, and was never in favour of the Emperor's grand plans anyway. calgar101 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/386392-terminus-decree-revealed/page/2/#findComment-6149836 Share on other sites
calgar101
Agreed, I highly doubt Fo would have wanted to differentiate between Loyalist and Traitor with his weapon. I wonder also if he would have snuck in there, a capability to kill Custodes too?
