Wulfen Loadout

So is the hammer/shield combo the default loadout for Wulfen now? No point in claws other than rule of cool?

 

Putting in a bits order and debating on whether or not to split a 10 man into two different loadouts.

I think Hammer and shield every time. There are plenty of ways to kill 1 wound infantry but units that can pose a serious threat to T10+ targets in melee are rarer. And the 4++ really helps their staying power.

I like hammer and shield and have never added other wulfen to my test lists

 

I also prefer the auto launchers instead of the death totem

 

10 blast weapons do killer work into hordes and chaff...hitting on 4's is not a problem (hitting on 3's with incursors makes them funny though)

 

In gladius (or stormlance) you can do Wulfen drive by shootings

Advance towards prime target and have something else within 12" to shoot as you run by...did this to an aeldari the other day and he was not very happy

Just as a side note: I do like the idea of Shield/Hammer for the above reasons, but would also add that they do fit into a thematic 4+ invlun based army list... which is something Wolves can do quite easily I think.
