Moritat consul in 3.0: Any useful use?

Moritat Consuls were one of my favorite units last edition. But in this edition, they've been cut so much in terms of rules, options, and profiles that I find it extremely difficult to find a place for them. I simply don't know what they're good for anymore, and I think there are many other better options at all levels than a Moritat.

 

He doesn't fit into any specific role, so he's not a viable option at first glance to include in any unit and contribute anything decently. And he doesn't excel at anything on his own, either.

 

That's why I'd like to gather your thoughts and opinions on the Moritats and whether they fit into any list today, or if it's better to leave them on the shelf.

I plan to use him with Destroyers dropping in front of a unit and opening up but that is only going to get me so far. I feel there are other units that have more uses for my jump pack heavy force, such as the Master of Descent than the Moritat.

Destroyers have Bitter Duty and Moritat, no. You can't use it inside a Destroyer unit 

 

"A Unit that includes any Models with this Special Rule can only join Units or be joined by other Models with this Special Rule."
