Launch night. What did you pick up?

I went to my local LGS and thankfully was able to get what I wanted. minus the LE codex, I do want that but I think only GW sells and probably not until day light. I snapped, 1 codex, 1 new white dwarf   1 box steel jacks. (I almost did not get them as they were sold out and then someone mus have returned them or something.  2 paints that I needed and the Evaluator. 

 

very tempted to go back and see if I can get more steel jacks. we'll see that was a lot.

I will probably get the codex for a discount on eBay whenever possible, for the lore.

 

For the minis, I tend to only get stuff when it comes time to build it, so for me there will be no purchases until later this year at the earliest. Keeping too many boxes around stresses me out and I already have a bunch of Kroot looking at me accusingly. In my defense they are the old sculpts that I picked up in bulk when the new kit replaced them. 

 

Which new kits were the most popular? Any kits selling out faster in your area?

Financials keep me from getting anything ATM, but I think my luck may be turning around soon. As is, I am working on getting one box of each datasheet painted, and once wave one is up to that goal, I'll hopefully be in a position where I can buy one box at a time and paint them up and not get a big army of unpainted models again.

Preorder 2 capri sun, 2 boxes of steel jack, codex and a Memnyr. Buri was sold out, Artillery kind of sucks, Arkanist and the rest will probably have models to print soon enough. 

 

Hearthguard took a beating but they were sold out, oddly enough...

I went a little too hard on the preorders, I usually only buy the models as I need them. But I ended up with the collectors codex, 3 boxes of earthshakers, 2 boxes of Steeljacks, an Arkanyst, Buri... 

 

I'll get the other models when I get this set finished. I just love those earthshakers so much

so I got an email yesterday that the mortar guys were back in stock. So I went over to the site and bought 2 of them and Buri. I probably shouldn't have bought him but I've been seeing people complain he is sold out in a lot of places. and I know he's almost an auto take most of the time right now. 

 

so my total orders which was way too much:

1 steeljacks - wish it were 2 or 3

1 Mimnyr

1 Evaluator

1 normal codex - I couldn't get the LE one. this does make me sad.

2 mortar guys - so 4 in total. - these might not be good, I don't know. but they were sold out the first time so when they came back I wanted to have 2 extra. 

1 Buri

 

Non kin stuff. I did add a few other things while I was shopping.

I am going to be in the hospital for at least a week if not a little longer later this month into next. so...

I bought a white dwarf. I'll probably buy or order another one before I go in. just something to flip and read through like the codex to pass the time.
