Wasnt there a coop mode or similar coming for kill team? Shard of the nightbringer would make sense as a last boss kinda deal

Yeah this makes the most sense to me too, and since it's a 3rd faction in the box, it gives it a bigger reach to possible customers.

Better look at the Nightbringer, really like him a lot, fantastic paint job too. Not sure where GW posted this, I saw it on Reddit. Edit: Had a look around, found it on a youtube post.

I'm just glad that it now looks like it belongs in the range, my biggest issue with the old one is that it looked just like a spooky grim reaper without much tying it visually to the Necrons, now with the necrodermis, the scarabs and the lighting it feels more at home with the rest of the faction.

To be fair to the old models, they were made under a different paradigm, when they were the rulers of the Necrons rather than enslaved. Thus the old models didn't need much to tie them together other than the idea of them being liquid metal.

They posted on Instagram, "coming in 2026".

"Nightbringer" sounds really dark and ominous.

"Portador de la noche" sounds like someone who works the night shift at a Mexican hotel.

"Portador de la noche" also sounds really dark and ominous in spanish. It has been the name of the character in that language since his introduction, and also in the translations of BL novels:

It's strange to see 4chan-style humor being cheered on this site. Good to know.

I always felt when a lot of the newer crop of Youtubers came along trashing the original Nightbringer model they were being really unfair, I don't think it's a bad sculpt at all. A little dated, but when Bricky slated it on his podcast I was really disappointed.

This new model, however... :jawdrop:

I don't get to use that emote often, this really warrants it. It also looks kinda like the Nightbringer's own face, if we are all honest.

No, it is not a bad model for it's age. it has held up well but it did need an update and so does the other one. neither are trash models or anything but eventually their time comes.

Hmm. It's an impressive model but I think I prefer the old one a bit? This new one is a biiiiit too overdesigned for my tastes, especially the robes.

I kind of agree with this, tho I also saw that new Nightbringer and loudly swore in surprise. It’s pretty impressive in a lot of ways.

Surprised and disappointed that the new Raptors/Warp Talons didn’t end up taking more design cues from the old 3.5 versions, tho. They had style.

Not feeling the "digital" aspect of the Necrodermis on this. I think the model would look better if those gaps were filled and right angles sanded off, but I like the idea. He's fixable.

The Nightbringer will become the culmination of the story that begins with the new Kill Team: Tomb World boxed set, which will be up for preorder in just a few weeks’ time.

And tomorrow, we’ll be looking at two new Kill Teams, which will be arriving around the same time as the Nightbringer.

Is that new Imperial terrain too? Don't recognise it, hope so.

2026 srsly ?!

I mean they say it's the culmination of a story that starts with a box that isn't even previewed yet. It's likely this thing wasn't even supposed to be shown until winter anyway. They aren't going to bump the release up because it got leaked
