Isual
Hi, at the moment I am trying to collect myself a swarm style Tyranid list. I want as much gant size stuff as possible. Can you give me a hint how I should kit out my newest Termangant squad? Some time ago spine fists where kind a popular I think. I have little experience, so I would appreciate some help. At the moment I have a larger squad with fleshborers, from the last start box and a converted one with spine fists. No idea on the special weapons too. Focslain
Sorry for the delay, was thinking on this when I saw it monday. Mind you this is based mostly on theory as I run all fleshborer units personally. So devourers have fallen out of favor since they are just two shots at S4 (down from 3) Spinefists aren't bad since you have twice the shots of a fleshborer and twin-linked. The re-roll kind of making up for the lower strength. As for the special weapons the only one that stands out for me is the strangleweb. D6 18" flamer with devastate is not bad, granted you'll need 6s to harm just about everything, but then that thing is taking the wounds. It's also assault which pairs with the fleshborer/spinefists The other specials are Heavy, so if you run the guants they can't shoot. Possibly the only situation for devourers is if your running tervigons to give them Lethal, but then your fishing for 6s and with S4 your less likely to wound MEQ then with the S5 fleshborer. I stand by the fleshborer for this edition, but only due to the fact I have so many of the bloody things. Found the extra strength and range works for me. I do have a full unit of spinefists buried in my pile, but haven't had the time or memory to dig them up. Would be interested in trying them. Hope this helps a bit.
